Because that’s my wife.

She’s been VERY against wearing a mask since PA mandated them on April 15, 2020 in most places.

We do not mask our boys age 3 and 6 and she will often wear it half on her face just to get into a place then it comes off.

I’m not sure what to refer to her as, a Mask Freedom Fighter? An Anti-Maskhole?

I admire her for it, she’s very firm in her belief that they are bullshit and a form of muzzling us all.

Feel grateful, my wife is a Mask Karen and I HATE with a passion all masks of governmental control.
I have to constantly tell her to STFU in those rare occasions my body must be occupied.

Your wife doesn't sound like the opposite of a mask nazi.

The opposite of a mask nazi is someone who would shame people for wearing a mask.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I dunno. I kind of regard the vehement anti-maskers about the same as I do the all mask, all the time Karens.

I wear one when a business or other facility requests (or demands) it. Otherwise I do not. When I wear one I wear it properly. It's simply not a hill upon which I care to die, either way.

Luckily, my wife is on the same page as I.

agree

its a sensitive topic either way. no doubt its a serious virus that has killed many people. but at the same time basic common sense applies and many of the mask-Karen's go way overboard. i don't consider it an erosion of civil liberties like some people though. kinda roll my eyes at that.

wear a seat belt? yep obey traffic regulations? yes
wear shoes / shirt in a restaurant? yep
wear a mask in close confines during a pandemic? sure, minor inconvenience

I have no problem with wearing a mask while inside a private business if that’s what they are wanting right now.

It’s just that the dumb scared sheep around here are wearing them outside with no one around them, at open air shopping centers where people are well spaced out, in their goddam cars. Roll Eyes

And masking up a child is abuse to me. When I see all these little kids running around the playgrounds all masked up, it breaks my heart. Their parents are screwing them up psychologically and are too stupid to even realize it.

All these maskholes aren't wearing anything that actually works in any sort of an effective manner anyway...
