Didn’t Saturn used to run an ad with a grocery cart/buggy slamming into a car door that was made out of plastic that just bounced off?

I’ll see your dog shitting on the laundromat floor and raise you the girl who brought her “emotional support” dog on the plane and let it shit and piss on the jetway and didn’t even bother to clean it up.

This emotional support animal stuff has gone way too far IMO.

I think the consensus here is that more and more people have become discourteous, rude, and obnoxious in recent times.

Absolutely, but the fact that the mentally ill are no longer segregated from society, there's no telling what a direct confrontation will bring. The wise thing to do is ignore their discourteousness and go about your life .... especially if armed.

After the last two posts I can't imagine anything else that could be added to this thread. Well said.

Eek I fold. Big Grin

Laundromats are probably worthy of a rant thread.

I think so. Or maybe I just notice it more.

One thing that I am surprised about is that the problem is not a generational one. It’s easy, and common, to blame younger generations but since moving to an area where the median age is 68 years old I have noticed that plenty of older people are selfish assholes too.

Yeah you are probably right. I just went to my first laundromat ever a couple weeks ago and my experience was not stellar. I can only imagine what it’s like going to them regularly.

If someone's just loaded their car as I'm walking to the store I'll offer to take it for them. Otherwise, I'll grab a loose one or 2 and take it to the store, even if I don't need one. I know what it's like to be the lot attendant.

Random fact...

When Bill Cosby was a kid, he and his miscreant friends, stole the wheels off of baby buggies.

But it could have been shopping carts, and look where he ended up...

Besides that the sun is coming up, the orange dots are street lights on the road my street connects to, so maybe we’ll get power back on our street soon. Maybe the gas stations will have power and it’ll alleviate the pressure on the three stations in my county that have backup generators.

I’m just happy that at 6:30am the cellular data connection is now good enough that I can read 8 pages of cart pushers, handicap parkers, and laundry mats. Razz

Pet peeve of mine. I usually return one or two abanded carts on the way in. However, recently, I was in a massive hurry to get to a meeting and I left the cart (in a relatively safe place) and I DID feel very bad about it.

You need that Dr. Rick to remind you we don't need a cart monitor.

This isn't your problem. Why create drama over it?

Except that you are not. Or are you really saying you will assault someone and hurt them badly over nicking your paint?

Yeah. I respect you for admitting your mistake. A pet peeve of mine is people not reading the thread from the outset and jumping in with comments already made.
