And "Blue lives matter" as well since they apparently support the police.

The fact that they're denying this came from corporate means either A: they're lying to cover their asses, or B: corporate really has no idea what is happening on the front lines. Either way it makes them look incompetent at best and lying progressive assholes at worst.

Agreed.

I'm really disgusted by this, particularly with the all out attacks on law enforcement across the country, that it's not allowed for Goodyear employees to support the police.

I didn't see this summary of the Goodyear slide posted, if I missed it, sorry.

quote:
Under acceptable: Black Lives Matter (BLM), Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride.

Listed as unacceptable: Blue Lives Matter, All Lives Matter, MAGA Attire, Political Affiliated Slogans or Material.

So it's OK to support those who riot, loot, beat the hell out of anyone they like, in the name of "rights" and "justice"? But it's not OK to support our policemen? It's not OK to support those who believe in non-discrimination, in ALL directions? I don't understand how trying to honor all life is harmful to BLM.

I am partial to Michelin. A good friend's dad said he would never own any tire except Michelin (he delivered explosives).

They could be both incompetent and lying progressives (which is redundant).

BF Goodriches are my go-to tires and are Michelin-owned but made in the USA. I got nearly 90,000 miles out of a set of Comp T/As on a 1985 Ford Thunderbird. All my cars end up with BF Goodriches. And when the Good Years on my new truck wear out, they will get replaced with BFG All Terrain T/As.

Good Year can probably kiss a lot of police sales goodbye.

We haven't had GOODYEAR tires on our vehicles for many years, my preference being MICHELIN for our trucks and cars. They ride better, are quieter and provide more miles of service.

That said, my new car has GOODYEAR Supercar 3 tires and as of now I haven't found a replacement tire.

Wonder if it would make a difference if enough people sent notes to all the vehicle manufacturers telling them if their new cars and trucks come equipped with goodyear tires that we’ll buy someone else’s vehicle? If the manufacturers started dropping goodyear products, goodyear might actually begin to feel it in their sales.

I put cooper AT3 on my last truck and loved them. I am pretty sure the truck tires are made in China, but most are. The actual company is an American company so that may be as good as it comes....

The quality or, design isn't the issue, its who ultimately is getting the money. As for US SOF units they're using up whatever inventory remains however, I know for sure SOCOM stopped sourcing their stuff; personal purchases not withstanding. JSOC gets a freer hand but, the writing is on the wall and budgets have been tight for awhile. LEAF is pretty well established within SOF circles worldwide, there's more business on the LE-side now, noteably the outfitting of the UK's Counter Terrorist Specialist Firearms Officers.

FYI- Lululemon was the other company bidding to buy Amer

Can go ahead and lump Goodyear with Gillette in my case...never again.

One thing I always do when I buy a vehicle is research the tires that come stock to see what the reviews say on tirerack.com, because OEM tires are usually garbage nowadays. So when checking out what is said about the Bridgestone tires that are on my 2020 Forester (horrible reviews btw) I decided that I’ll likely have to replace the tires this winter if they are as bad as the reviews say they are. The two tires that were on my short list were some Goodyears and some Continentals. Well, I guess I can save about $40 per tire and go with the Continentals. So this was good timing for me at least.

What a stupid thing to do....bunch of woke assholes. I really hope this affects them like it did with Gillette.

In my experience the Falken’s are every bit as good as the GY’s, and probably better in wet-road traction and reduced noise.

Unfortunately this past winter sucked in terms of lack of snowfall so I did not have an opportunity to find out for myself, but inter-webz lore has the Falken’s a very close 2nd to the GY’s in this performance category.

The Falken’s are made in the U.S.A. and were about $40 less per tire in the size that I purchased.

Rob

Say what???? My Wildpeaks were made in Thailand which is why when I switched trucks went with Michelin’s and not Falkens.

The Duratracs were going to be my other choice but the Michelin’s were way cheaper. If Falkens actually are made in the states now I am going to be pissed. I would prefer them over the Michelins.
I just bought a Goodyear All Terrain Adventure with Kevlar as a spare last week. Now I am kind of pissed.

I am about 99% sure ALL Cooper branded tires are made in the United States. That is what my research led me to when I put the Cooper AT3s on my Silverado (they are great I have to agree).
My reading showed that Cooper owns Mastercraft and a few of their models are made in China but not their truck tires.

The Tundra I just bought had Mastercraft ATXs and they were made in the USA. They were replaced by Michelin’s made in the states.
