Many of us were just waiting for this news: Gillette sales are way down, and they are cutting prices on their products up to 20% in a desperate attempt to regain market share. Nice going SJWs at Gillette! Yeah, Gillette can go stick its head in its own lap and blow. I canceled my razor subscription with Amazon for Gillette cartridges months ago. However, I'm still using up my stock so still using Gillette. They haven't seen a dime from since this sjw nonsense though. It's always nice to see the results of a brilliant ad campaign. I am sure there are several companies that truly liked this add - you know names like Schick, Bic, Harry's, Dollar SC. Clearly all those at Gillette, involved with this, deserve a promotion to customer. Donald Trump is not a politician, he is a leader, politicians are a dime a dozen, leaders are priceless. | |||

Gillette's quality took a nosedive several years ago when they moved production to Mexico. As a life-long user of Gillette, I noticed the change immediately, and started looking for better products. Of the multi-blades, Harry's was the best. Their shaving lather is better than Edge, which is another product I've used for 50+ years. Try that, too. I've since switched to DE and soap in a mug, but I keep my Harry's kit for travel. It's a good choice. Gillette's aWokening will hopefully destroy them, and send a message to all those companies who think it's OK to think that we respond well to ads promoting non-mainstream behavior as some sort of new normal. I used and really liked the Mach 3s for a long time, but they seemed to get more and more stupid expensive and I’d only get a week out of them with them being noticeably duller by the end of the week. Tried Harry’s five blade (since they didn’t have a three) and it felt a little like shaving with a surfboard at first, but didn’t take that long to get used to. The weird thing is I get a month out of a Harry’s cartridge and it seems less dull at the end of the month than the Mach 3 did at the end of the week. | |||

Same here, but after that ad came out I used up my Gillette products and found a cheaper store brand that works just as well. Heck, I would spend MORE money just to avoid buying Gillette! | |||

They had it right 60-65 years ago, but the business of selling more blades led them to innovate past the point of perfection. I’m calling it now: they’ve already brought out a “new” two blade razor to try to stem competition from the vintage stuff, they’ll bring out a new single blade razor with a proprietary head before long. Fuck Gillette. I just ordered a refillable type razor from Barbasol. We'll see how it does. I already use their shaving cream. I have never liked the Gillette gels.
