I am still doing my PT twice a week. Those weenie exercises wear me out.

Last Wednesday, I had a CT scan done. We do not know the results yet, but should know sometime early Monday morning after visiting the doctor.

Eating has been difficult again and I am down to about 156 pounds.

Retirement is coming soon, and is about 2 months away. There has been some interest in people wanting to buy the Colorado Crush, but it has not panned out as of yet.
In the end, if there are no buyers, I will fold the team and sell some of the assets. However, if that is the case, I will keep my trademark on the Crush as one day, someone might want to buy that.

I have booked a 4 day family vacation at Cedar Point. The girls and I will fly out there this summer.

Mrs. LBJ loves herself a good roller coaster ride, so I expect the family to have a good time.
I do not have the stamina to walk around a 300 acre park, so most of the time I will either be on the beach or at the hotel.
As far as riding the roller coasters, no dice, I don't even like riding them when I'm well.
I might take one morning in the park and ride something with unicorns and swans on the carts though.

I never posted in this particular thread that youngest daughter miscarried, so being a grandfather is on hold for now.
This happened a couple of weeks ago and she seems to be doing OK and coping.

Basically, she was going to move back here to take care of the baby and all. Now that plan has been cancelled and she is back on track to become the manager of her own store in Fort Worth this summer.

Last September before she moved, she was making 10 dollars and hour for the food chain she worked for.
She moved to Dallas to train employees for new stores for the same company, currently makes 35K and this summer goes to 40K.

$10/hr to 40K/yr in 10 months is really good and I'm proud her and as Hubert Humphrey used to say, I'm pleased as punch.

Sorry to hear about that, glad she is doing well with her work. I really need to pay closer attention...

Not your fault.
It was a separate thread wondering in real time if a miscarriage might be going on. I deleted it after I got the answers I needed from the membership.

The biggest obstacle was my daughter thought she had disappointed me. I think she understands now that I am not disappointed in her in any way. It was just one of those things in life that happens which is not the fault of anyone.

On a positive note, the whole fam damily is absolutely ecstatic and eager with anticipation at our upcoming trip to Cedar Point.
I think I picked a real winner for our vacation.

Great news congratulations to you and mom-to-be! There's nothing like grandchildren.

I got a CT scan last week and today received the news.
It is all bad. The Votrient is not working at all.
This is the drug that is supposed to work but isn't.
I lost ground everywhere, the tumors are spreading and growing.

I do appreciate everyone praying for me and hoping for the best.

There are still some medication options, but I am shell shocked at the moment and it is tough for me to want to try other drugs given their side affects and my quality of life.

To be honest, my quality of life is very poor and though I have tried to remain hopeful and optimistic, it's just is not in the cards.

I have felt myself slipping away the past few months despite the treatment, but I was holding out hope that the way I feel physically, that it was the side effects of the meds.
However, apparently it is twofold, the meds make me feel poorly and the cancer is too.

I have some decisions to make.
I was given six months to live without treatment in February when I started treatment.
Since the medication is not working, and given that 3 months have gone by, well, you can see where I am going here.
I may not make it past this summer.

I'm sorry to hear this Boss! I really am! I wish I could say more and don't what else to say.
