They are certainly NOT going to take any action that might actually help to reduce crime, like charge, prosecute and sentence criminals for their crimes with proper and lengthy prison sentences. __________ "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotomy."

https://www.breitbart.com/poli...officers-leave-dept/ Ashville, North Carolina’s police department (APD) has seen 84 officers leave since January 2020 and is now making clear it will no longer respond to theft calls. The Daily Mail reports the department will also forgo answering fraud and trespassing calls. APD Police Chief David Zack cites the “protests against law enforcement” as one of the factors that led so many officers to step away from the job. The Ashville Citizen Times notes that “the APD officer attrition rate, formerly one per month, jumped to 7.5 per month in the four months after local protests set off by Minneapolis police murdering Black resident George Floyd.” And even after the highest profile protests waned the APD continues to see an attrition rate of roughly six officers a month. As a result, the APD now has “only 167 of its 238 sworn officer positions filled.” the decision to stop answering calls about less serious crimes is also part of an attempt to cut response times to serious ones. Chief Zack to the city council’s Public Safety Committee about the decision not respond to calls about low-level crimes, saying, “This is what it looks like when you’re down this much, when you lose 50% of your detectives.” xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx when will our country wake up ?

Excellent When this gets much worse, which is why I say this news is excellent. In order to move back the other direction, we'll have to move farther in the direction we're now going, so, let it burn. ____________________________________________________ "I am your retribution." - Donald Trump, speech at CPAC, March 4, 2023

This is all right out of Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals. They are overwhelming the system by intentionally letting crime get out of control. Clinton let real convicted domestic terrorists out of jail, who are now advising BLM. Clearly they were not rehabilitated in prison, and should have served their full sentences. I think we will find that the biggest mistake in American history was electing zero experience Obama and letting his administration put radicals into all levels of the federal government. We have seen how much the federal bureaucracy fought against Trump and undermined him at every step. Anytime someone says they want to "fundamentally transform" the country, the sole focus of the opposition media should be getting the answer to the question "what do you want to transform it into?". The only honest answer to the question is "single party totalitarianism". That is what they want - something similar to China. And the only way to do that is to get rid of the guns. That's why big media, big tech and Wall Street are onboard. Once the democrats get their single party federal government, the media, tech, and banking companies that helped them do it will be cemented into place as the oligarchy with protection from competition. Or so they think - history already tells us what usually happens to them. My western-educated Chinese friends tell me that if guns were legal in China there would be a massive civil war. I usually counter that we have plenty of guns in the US and a very small percentage are ever used in crime, so why not give your countrymen the benefit of the doubt that things would not change much? The response is usually "you don't understand China". Maybe they are right, if the Chinese people had a means of fighting the CCP and gaining freedom, they would. I do understand that the CCP's biggest fear is not of foreign attack but of their own people. That's why they control the media, internet, entertainment, and are moving rapidly to a full surveillance state. The coverup of the lab leak and attempts to blame the US and other countries is more to protect the CCP from their people finally having enough and revolting. Big Brother Xi is always watching to make sure you don't get any ideas about changing who's in charge. A lot of what the left is doing right now is about guns. Make the people ignorantly demand more gun control by intentionally increasing violent crime. Enact federal registration of all semi-automatic rifles and carbines. Control the narrative by only publicizing "mass shootings" by white men, and ignoring the rampant daily murders of minorities in the inner cities. Blame law abiding conservative gun owners of being "domestic terrorists" to put them on "watch lists" and confiscate their registered arms when the time comes. They are not even trying to pretend this is not the goal anymore. Between Biden and his BATFE nominee and all the big money leftists, they are telling us exactly what they plan to do.

Now they are going after the cops. https://www.portlandmercury.co...-during-2020-protest Riot season is here again. Yay.

That was incredible restraint on behalf of the officer. These protestors have no idea how tolerant they are being treated. Maybe one day they will find out. I don’t think they realize they are playing a game where everyone ultimately loses. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

Wait, what? |
While personally I would LOVE to see the cops unleashed on these UN-American cretin with no restraint when they assault LEO’s, my agency would hang me out to dry if they had footage of the last strike while she was on the ground and not posing a threat. Emotions affect cops too, but that was gratuitous. He could have gotten away with the one that put her on the pavement as not hitting his intended target due to dynamic motion on her part but the last one was for spite. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

Rioting insurrectionist commie trash with a camera is not a "photojournalist". That "strike" was merely a push.A strike would have been if he held that baton like a Louisville Slugger and gave her what's worth. Twice. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! If I stuck my dick in a blender and turned it on I should not be surprised when it hurt. I think the cop exercised incredible restraint. If you apply enough pressure to anything it’s going to snap. In a situation like that I will side with LE. I don’t care about the optics, fuck these rioters. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

Wait, what? |
^^^ This isn’t about optics, it’s about reasonable use of force as set by the Supreme Court. I assure you, all feelings aside (mine as well as yours) the last strike fails the test of reasonableness. It’s no different if an assaulter stops assaulting and gives the appearance of compliance- you are not covered if you strike towards the cafe with a baton. I’d like nothing more than these leftists being fed into a chipper if that’s what it takes to rid our country of them, but we in LE are stuck with ROE’s that we’re bound by. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

I think it was perfectly reasonable. Putting unrealistic expectations on someone while allowing someone else to get away with pretty much anything is a recipe for disaster. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

Wait, what? |
Sorry, but you are injecting emotion into a scenario where the law is clear. I speak from training and experience. Frustrated or not, whether we like it or not, a board of review would consider it excessive after she was sitting on her ass. And a two handed baton strike is still a strike. Do I think he would be fired, or even suspended? Probably not, but in this cop-hating environment (especially in a leftist state that has made it clear they do not support their LEO’s) I can’t say for sure. My agency would say I violated policy and leave me at the mercy of a civil suit. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

At some point government must take seriously its job. Having riots every night is a complete and total failure of government. This will become a clever attempt to blame LE for the total failure of government. I reject that and can see this for what it is. It’s not like he shot her or began wailing on her. He acted out of extreme restraint in my eyes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

This post is about a part of Atlanta Georgia that wants to break free of the city. https://pjmedia.com/news-and-p...w-the-lines-n1454817 Buckhead, a portion of Atlanta, Georgia, is looking to break free from the rest of a city in rapid decline. After decades of increased safety that started ahead of the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, it took one woman and a single summer to ruin it. Not even New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio can beat Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms’ time for running a city into the ground. It took de Blasio two terms. Bottoms has been so spectacular she’s announced she won’t even run for a second one. As a result of her rank incompetence, Buckhead, a wealthier section of Atlanta with about 100,000 residents, has decided to control its own destiny. There are two bills in the state legislature to affect the split, and the group has raised the required amount of money to move forward. Buckhead is petitioning to become wholly independent and establish and enlarge their own police force under different leadership. Tucker Carlson interviewed Bill White, the leader of the movement to create an independent Buckhead. White told Tucker that residents feel as if they are living in a war zone. They are filing for divorce, according to White, and it will be final. He expects there will be an initiative on the ballot in 2022. If it is successful, Atlanta will lose at least 20% of its tax base. In Buckhead, murders year-to-date are up almost 50 percent—that’s a lot of new dead people. Robberies and aggravated assaults are up by nearly 40 percent. Car thefts are up 65 percent. Lenox Square mall in Buckhead, one of the first indoor shopping malls in the United States, is now too dangerous to visit. Beginning last year, someone was getting shot at the mall virtually every month. Carlson noted that the mall is now highly secured with metal detectors and armed officers, but violent crimes are still happening. White explained at least part of the reason why. He showed a video of a drive-by shooting where one resident was hit. There were blue police lights visible in the video, but Bottoms has prohibited officers from vehicle pursuits to prevent auto accidents. So the shooters just drove away and the officers called an ambulance and rendered aid. then there is a video of a mall security guard being shot video at: https://twitter.com/GAFollower.../1404523555136606209
