This!^^^^^ The fact is that when a void is created by the lack of professional law enforcement and a credible justice system, something (vigilantism and a feeling of entitlement to exact revenge when wronged) fills that vacuum. Civilized communities have rules of conduct that are accepted by citizens as reasonable and followed. When offenders violate those standards, there's consequences. It scares the crap out of me that we'd become like Mogadishu, but that's exactly what's being advocated and the direction we're taking.

Obama and Holder stopped prosecuting people that lie to on the 4473 form, and put many police departments under consent decrees that hampered their ability to prevent crime. Under Trump Leftist prosecutors stopped prosecuting many crimes, stopped adding extra charges for gun possession during a crime, and eliminated cash bail so criminals back out on the street in a matter of hours. Obiden's DoJ is not actively investigating known domestic terrorists like Antifa and instead trying to perpetrate a lie that "white supremacists" are the biggest risk for domestic terror.

The goal is to drive crime up high enough that average citizens will agree to a lot more "gun control" and also to compel self defense and vigilantism so that they can "prove" that armed citizens are "domestic terrorists". The St. Louis couple was maliciously prosecuted for holding firearms in hand on their own private property while being threatened with violence by trespassers. Kyle Rittenhouse is being prosecuted for what is clearly legal self defense. You can expect more of this any time a law abiding gun owner uses a gun lawfully to stop a crime.

Notice that the term "mass shooting" purposefully excludes shootings related to gangs and drugs or other criminal activity, so the "mass shooters" that get reported in the media are usually mentally ill with no prior criminal record, and mostly white men.

But you need a crisis to get people to agree that we need to ban and confiscate guns to stop "gun crime", and that armed white men who say they need guns to defend against crime are white supremacist domestic terrorists. The 2nd amendment is working as intended to protect us from tyranny, the leftists can't take over and do whatever they want because they will lose in any armed conflict. But if they severely restrict firearms and also replace all military and police leaders with leftists, then they might prevail.

Yeah, I saw this too and i started to think maybe colored people aren't so smart afterall. They have allowed dumb politicians to brainwash them and get them to do all sort of nonsense thinking it will all go unpunished because of some slavery BS 100 years ago. Perhaps I should say "has worked". We don't quite have a single party Federal government yet. And most suburbs and smaller towns have not seen the burning, looting, and murder of BLM/Antifa protests precisely because they know that any shenanigans will be met with overwhelming force and local law enforcement will not prosecute justifiable use of force.

The Biden administration, when asked about the nationwide crime wave, has cited guns as the problem. But to Villanueva, at least, guns among law-abiding citizens maybe part of the solution, providing protection police cannot.

JMO, this is part of the plan with "criminal justice reform" keep more criminals out of the jails, violent criminals on the streets means more crime, thus the need for stricter government rules, since these criminals will use gunsand there will be more shootings thus will be more death, we need total gun control measures. All this to be publicized on the internet and news, every single shooting will be widely reported, and the media will provide coverage.

They don't care about anyone's rights or better justice process, it's more about creating chaos in order to create a national problem, where they can justify draconian results.
