Apologies if that article caused any issues. I probably could have found a better article demonstrating the frustrations first time buyers are experiencing.

Victim of Life's Circumstances |
This will make Louisville especially attractive for an August Kentucky Derby. Breonna Taylor shooting will turn into another riot when the full police report is released. Mayor Bikelane Fisher is scared to death for the truth to come out is what sources who have seen the report are saying. https://www.wdrb.com/news/unti...47-975715bc333d.html LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A nationally known social justice organization said its team is moving to Louisville "for the foreseeable future." Until Freedom describes itself as "an intersectional social justice organization rooted in the leadership of diverse people of color to address systemic and racial injustice." The organization recently visited Louisville to protest against the handling of the Breonna Taylor investigation and organized a sit-in at the home of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron. That sit-in resulted in the arrests of 87 protesters. Now Until Freedom said it is "taking residency in Louisville." "Our entire team is MOVING to live in Louisville for the foreseeable future," the group states in a post on the organization's Instagram page. "We are not playing games. We don't just talk. We organize. We are ready to sacrifice time with our families, our careers to stand by what we believe in. "We will organize day in and day out until those responsible for #BreonnaTaylor's murder are held accountable and that the systems and those in power understand that we will fight for Black women with all that we have because they are worthy." ________________________ God spelled backwards is dog

No one needs to apologize. I'm simply pointing out that we shouldn't be cynical about people waking up to the value of the Second Amendment.

This was me post Katrina. I was never antigun, and certainly never a Democrat, I simply never had an interest in guns. Being in California, I was up against a steep learning curve, just as these people will be. “Crisis is the rallying cry of the tyrant.” – James Madison "Keep your fears to yourself, but share your courage with others." - Robert Louis Stevenson

Look, this is a simple numbers game. The huge increases in firearms sales can not be explained by 'only' middle of the roaders purchasing guns. And since we conservatives have owned own guns and ammo for some time, we aren't responsible for contributing to the huge increases in firearms sales either. So that only leaves one final group who can be contributing to the numbers...liberals. And by liberals, I'm not necessarily asserting these are Leftists. More likely they are people who have always lived protected existences, never saw any reason for firearms, and have supported gun control out of habit whenever it came up. Now, given current conditions, their world view has been decimated, and for the first time in their adults lives they're afraid for their safety. As such, they've opted to do something they've never considered doing in their entire lives...buying a firearm for protection. Regardless what happens from here on out, I believe these people are changed at a very basic level. IMO, that change has opened the door, no matter how slight, to them altering their view on firearms (and maybe other things) going forward. I think we should take advantage of this opening wherever we can to open the door even further for these folks. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. Point out in this thread where anyone has said that, but I do see talk in this thread about "liberals" buying the guns. Those gun store counter guys, they must be mind readers, huh? I'll say it one more time and then I'm done- you cannot pigeonhole all these new gun buyers. It's a cross-section of Americans. I'm tired of arguing this point. Think whatever you want. Make whatever assumptions you wish. Let's move on.

Ok, this would be a great place to start asking the question...where are these people getting their funding from? Move an entire organization permanently to St. Louis. That requires a whole lotta cash. Someone needs to be digging into where its coming from. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. The Ice Cream Man |
I read the news for the first time in a week or two... I'm rather concerned that we are, rapidly, approaching a point where anyone who wishes to be free, will have to start saying, "No." Luther told the Diet "No," for the first time, and the world changed. As a general rule, that tends to happen when the power-mad get told "No." The left, and the swampier parts of the GOP, are accelerating at a rate I've never seen. I'm sure part of it is "Soros", and part of it is the left feeling like the demographics shift has them close to being able to enslave the nation, and, I suspect, a big part of it is Chinese backing.

These violent and aggressive agitators in the street are red-pilling tremendous numbers of people. People who voted for Clinton, and voted for Obama, who now have violent extremists threatening their way of life. Those people are going to quietly walk into the voting booth this November, and vote for Donald Trump.

^^^^^ I PRAY this is what happens... "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

No double standards |
Maybe a key word is "California". I was always in a gun family, was in the Army Reserves during Vietnam, always pro 2A. But the Rodney King riots in LA was my moment to gain a greater appreciation for the wisdom of the 2A, the founders were prophetic. "Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women. When it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it....While it lies there, it needs no constitution, no law, no court to save it" - Judge Learned Hand, May 1944

No double standards |
My comment was considering the gun atmosphere in CA. Most gov't "uppers" are quite staunch to limit any and all gun rights for the people. But most of them are very diligent to make sure there are plenty of guns around to protect themselves. "Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women. Wait, what? |
In Colorado- ^^^^ Great example of what happens when this trash thinks they have support outside of their leftist controlled major cities. REAL Americans don’t put up with their shit. It only ever succeeds when they have the support of a complicit local Leftist government. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

Watched it and read the comments; never could figure out what town that was. Somebody said something like, “Stay out of northern Colorado, go back to Denver.” _______________________________________________________ despite them

Back, and to the left |
The new gun owners are from all walks, I'm certain of that. I prefer to think that the bulk of these new gun purchasers are, as Para said, generally apolitical. That most are in the so called swing voters camp, the independent voters that presidential campaign managers fervently try to court in every election. This is a pleasant thought that makes me smile. I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. -Ecclesiastes 9:11 ...But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by Him shall glory, but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped. - Psalm 63:11 [excerpted]

I wouldn't spend too much brain power trying to find a international conspiracy as there's plenty of financial resources here in this country who believe their money can effect 'social change'. Bloomberg has sunk until told millions of his personal fortune to underwrite his Everytown for Gun Safety group, which has put it's hooks into many local elections and officials. Guys like Buffett, Taco Bell heir Rob McKay and his Democracy Alliance and McKay Foundation, Leah Hunt-Hendrix grand-daughter of Texas oil tycoon HL Hunt, Marc Benioff owner of Salesforce.com, tech giants like Zucherburg, Netflix's Reed Hastings, Apple's Tim Cook, etc... Many are heads of massive multi-national corps or venture capitol firms, they sit on boards of other highly profitable and influential aspects of the economy, Apple has donated over $100million to a Racial Equality and Justine Initiative...these are grant-giving organizations that use a big pen to influence direction. Home Depot CEO Craig Menear announced a $1 million donation to the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, Target has donated $10m to similar causes, WalMart donated $100m over five years to create a new center for racial equity. Levis is donating $100,000 to the ACLU and $100,000 in grants to Live Free USA. Nike giving $40m to BLM.... this kind of stupidity is home-grown.

It's not you, it's me. |
Just figured I’d share something I found while trying to get updates on my Spartan Armor lead time. I stumbled across a socialist reddit group with over 60k members. Hours of enjoyable reading that shows how far these commies have their heads up their asses. This particular commie is upset about Spartan Armor’s support for the police. Interesting to see that the commies are buying armor though. They also call each other “comrade” while discussing their grand ideas. Know thy enemy I guess... The other is screen shots from the NAAGA Facebook group.
