The reality is that when a patient is experiencing excited delirium they are in a very fragile state. Restraining them to make sure that they don’t hurt themselves or others may very well end up killing them. They are insanely strong and extremely hard to gain compliance from without chemical sedation. From a EMS perspective These patients are hard to deal with and I have a lot more tools in my tool belt then police officers do.

How the hell does this dipshit get away with his "they claim was armed with a knife ". No one can honestly dispute the fact the body cam shows the lowlife was VERY CLEARLY charging the officer with a knife?? That is a purposeful lie meant to incite. The important item you missed is the 11 ng/mL of fentanyl in his system, a fatal dose in normal conditions. Just sitting at home with that dose could kill him.

He couldn't breath because his lungs were filled with fluid caused by his voluntary ingestion of 11 ng/mL of fentanyl and other illegal drugs.

Witnesses said there was 'foaming from the mouth' before he was removed from the patrol unit and laid out on the pavement.
