While mayor Lori Lightfoot continues to try and assure the public that she has everything under control, the exodus from Chicago as a result of the looting and riots is continuing. Citizens of Chicago are literally starting to pour out of the city, citing safety and the Mayor's ineptitude as their key reasons for leaving.

Hilariously, in liberal politicians' attempt to show the world they don't need Federal assistance and that they don't need to rely on President Trump's help, they are inadvertently likely creating more Trump voters, as residents who seek law and order may find no other choice than to vote Republican come November.

And even though residents understand the looting and riots in some cases, they are not waiting around for it to get better on its own, nor are they waiting around for it to make its way to their house, their families or their neighborhoods.



Residents of the Near North Side told a Tribune columnist that they would be moving "as soon as we can get out" and others "expressed fear" of returning downtown. The Near North Side is 70% white and 80% of residents have a college degree. The median household income is $99,732, which is about twice the city's average.

Real estate broker Rafael Murillo says people are moving to the suburbs quicker than planned: “And then you have the pandemic, so people are spending more and more time in their homes. And in the high-rise, it starts to feel more like a cubicle after awhile.”

Author defends looting in NPR interview, says it gives ‘an imaginative sense of freedom and pleasure’

An author of a new book defending looting is sparking outrage after an NPR interview in which she said looting gives people “an imaginative sense of freedom and pleasure."

“Looting strikes at the heart of property, of whiteness and of the police,” author Vicky Osterweil said in the interview. “It gets to the very root of the way those three things are interconnected. And also, it provides people with an imaginative sense of freedom and pleasure and helps them imagine a world that could be. And I think that's a part of it that doesn't really get talked about -- that riots and looting are experienced as sort of joyous and liberatory.”

Riots and looting have torn through American cities since the death of George Floyd in police custody in May. They were reignited again in Kenosha, Wis., after the police shooting of Jacob Blake Sunday. There also was looting in Minneapolis this week after a suspected gunman killed himself as police neared. While the looting has taken its toll on local businesses and economies already hit hard by the coronavirus crisis, Osterweil said it also works as a “political mode of action.”

“Importantly, I think especially when it's in the context of a Black uprising like the one we're living through now, it also attacks the history of whiteness and white supremacy,” Osterweil claims. “The very basis of property in the U.S. is derived through whiteness and through Black oppression, through the history of slavery and settler domination of the country.”

The author, who finished the book “In Defense of Looting” in April before the surge in looting over the summer, said she does not condone home invasions or the taking of property by force, and later said that looting “freaks people out.”

“But in terms of potential crimes that people can commit against the state, it's basically nonviolent. You're mass shoplifting. Most stores are insured; it's just hurting insurance companies on some level. It's just money. It's just property. It's not actually hurting any people,” she says.

The author appears to have little sympathy for local and small businesses destroyed by the criminal activity, claiming “they [small businesses] are no more likely to provide worker protections." “They are no more likely to have to provide good stuff for the community than big businesses. It's actually a Republican myth that has, over the last 20 years, really crawled into even leftist discourse: that the small business owner must be respected, that the small business owner creates jobs and is part of the community,” she said.

The interview quickly picked up heat online, with many expressing disbelief both at Osterweil’s views, as well as taxpayer-funded NPR’s decision to give them such an airing.

Also, you can go to the BLM sites and post here say about how some ANTIFA members claim BLM isn't doing enough and their a bunch of pussies. Do the same thing on ANTIFA sites. Make them distrust each other and maybe even foster some hate and discontent among these groups.

Can also post questions about the Hollywood limousine liberals and their poultry $200K donations when these same celebrities have $200M yachts. Ask them why they haven't "protested" in Beverly Hills, why they haven't been present at the mansions of these rich elitists. Hold THOSE people accountable.

Here's a good one. Make a posting of a scheduled protest at some particular location. Tell them there will be a tour bus to take them to the protest sight. Get them to fill the bus. Head out into the middle of the desert and pull the bus over and tell everyone there's a fuel leak on the bus and everyone must depart while they identify the problem. THEN... Once everyone departs the bus, the driver can close the door and take off, leaving them in the middle of nowhere.

It would be great if people could start doing this kind of stuff to this commie vermin.

I wondered about this the other day. Has anyone seen expensive HOA's or the like employing a whole lot more (and or better armed) security for their neighborhoods? Some of the DC suburbs no doubt are home to the owners/CEO's of PMC's (private military contractors). It's not too far fetched to imagine contracts to defend some small areas that can afford to keep them till the end of the year anyway.
