Quiet time sitting on the couch with my dog resting her head on my lap.
Playing with my grandchildren.
Sitting on the back deck on a warm evening having a beer.

When I was younger watching my sons play and laugh. Now that I’m an older guy the same pure joy I get from my two grandsons-5 and 18 months respectively.

a year ago I was working 12 hour days, overtime, callouts at anytime of the night, on call on weekends & holiday's, driving up and down 95 several times in a day. Now,I enjoy just sitting on my deck in the morning watching the sun come up drink coffee, and sitting on the deck watching the sun set drinking a bourbon looking forward to the same routine the next day.

My dog Jessie waking me up with a kiss every morning at 6:05. How does she know?

A waterfall....anywhere.

A herd of deer walking through the front yard in the early evening.

The smell of Plumeria. It reminds me of my honeymoon in Maui.
Listening to my 18 year old talk about his future plans.
Seeing the smile on my wife's face when our 25 year old calls her for no reason.
The feel of working the thumb safety on a 1911.
The smell of morning coffee.
The sound of my Les Paul playing power cords through a Marshall Amp.

Do, Or do not. There is no try.
