I was on one of my rare these days outings this week, and while driving through a new developing shopping area, spotted a Five Guys hamburger joint next to the recently opened Panera, across the street from the Whataburger.

What’s the scoop on these? Any good? Really good? Don’t bother?

The fries are fresh. The burgers nothing remarkable IMHO, but not bad either.

I wouldn't turn down some onion rings or a shake if someone walked in right now with one either....

A bit overpriced for me. I don't see them as better than in and out burger. Five Guy's fries are very good, though.

They are known for the burgers and they are very good. But I always get the bacon cheese hot dog. It's awesome and I don't eat hot dogs very often.

It's worth a try for sure.

Burgers are ok and are overpriced, fries are ok; they're definitely a step above MCD/BK/Wendy's.

IMO, the burgers at Five Guys are pretty good. I always get the large bacon cheese burger. And I like the free peanuts to nibble while waiting for my order.

Not bad at all. Definitely worth trying if you've never been there.

Take a friend or spouse and get one order of fries for the two of you to share. No way do you each want a full order of fries.

You can get almost anything and everything on the burger, however you like it.

Apples to oranges. Fudruckers competes with sit-down themes places like Red Robin, The Burger Joint, The Counter, Smashburger...

To OP, 5-Guys is better than most fast-food places, competes with In'n Out, Whataburger, Shake Shake while annihilating traditional theme places like McDonald's, Burger King, Jack-In-The-Box. Besides fresh produce and meat, you can have added a variety of toppings, on top of the standard. Peanuts are free.

Just keep in mind, their standard cheeseburger is a double-patty.

A regular cheeseburger is actually a double cheeseburger. A regular french fry is enough fries for three people.

I get a little cheese burger (Which is a normal cheeseburger everywhere else) and a little french fry (which is enough for two people to share)

Im a big guy, 300+ pounds, and the normal size portions are HUGE. I there is no way I could eat a normal size burger and normal size fry there. I have to order the smallest size and still leave plenty full...

They have the best fast food french fries in the business, in my opinion. The burgers are OK. Not great, not gross, just average.

Burgers are really good, but over-priced, IMO. It's around $8 JUST for the burger. They are not that big.

The fries are excellent, as has been stated. After they put the fries in the bag, they dump a bunch more on top.

Little bacon cheese burger for me with a small fry. I think their burgers are very good. The fries are even better.

Burgers are pretty good. Enough fries to choke a horse. If you want to pretend to be healthy the'll actually put your burger in a lettuce wrap.

I don't find that to be the case, but everyone's different.

The Hot Dogs and shakes are really good there as well. Again, you can get it your way, with tons of options. My wife really likes the chocolate-banana-peanut butter shake, with bacon. Smile

I shall respect you until you open your mouth, from that point on, you must earn it yourself.
