I believe in the principle of Due Process |
He’ll be in the running for the coveted 2018 Gregg Jarrett “Fool me once..” Award. With only a few months to go, he looks to be on top, but we are about to enter the biennial silly season, so hold your ballots for now. Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me. When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

I'm not convinced, it's gotta be a Monty Python skit "I’m not going to read Time Magazine, I’m not going to read Newsweek, I’m not going to read any of these magazines; I mean, because they have too much to lose by printing the truth"- Bob Dylan, 1965

Glorious SPAM! |
When I was on the road Wednesday I heard a FEMA news conference and the FIRST question was about how Trump pulled $10M of their funding to send to ICE. The very first question folks, not what are you doing to help those in need, not do you have enough supplies and personnel, no lets ask a question that makes the president look bad. To say I was disgusted is an understatement. Turns out it was FAKE NEWS. I'm heading back tomorrow , loading up the jeep with extra stuff incase the boys need anything, and let me tell you if I run across a "news" team in need I will drive right by. Fucking filthy American hating fucks. https://www.breitbart.com/big-...-hurricane-mistakes/

For us in SoFla any winds under 100 mph aren’t terrible and mainly inconvenience. Storm surge where I live is not much of an issue because 1)We are relatively high 2)it is 1,000 feet deep just a few miles offshore so we don’t get the really high surge. So - with all that, every storm we get calls from friends and family about how awful it is. They are watching the news and it is like we are in ground zero. Ridiculous and frankly it takes away from areas that ARE hit hard, like the keys. We have a couple of local weatherman that take pains to be honest in reporting and really try for objectivity (WPTV)...but beyond that the nation outlets are tools. As the Boss said, can’t trust em for anything. “Forigive your enemy, but remember the bastard’s name.” -Scottish proverb

Too soon old, too late smart |
I heard that some people were such liars they had to hire someone to call their dog for them. They must have had reporters in mind.

We have a granddaughter studying Meteorology at Norman OK., and they don't think much of the Weather Channel.

They had a guy doing the same thing in a city south of the Hurricane area and two kids on bicycles came riding by.

In college there are two majors, one is Broadcast Meteorology. It involves presenting the Weather, and knowing where to stand and point. In addtiion to schools like University of Oklahoma, the military trains meteorologists as their expertise is needed in logistics and planning. Lot of calculus and physics are involved.

The success of a solution usually depends upon your point of view |
Last year during one of our hurricanes one of the local reporters was standing by the dunes on the beach all dressed out in rain gear and goggles because the wind was so bad it was blowing the sand off of the beach. In the background was a family of 5 strolling along the surf line in shorts and tee-shirts. we still laugh at the douche every time he is on the TV. “We truly live in a wondrous age of stupid.” - 83v45magna "I think it's important that people understand free speech doesn't mean free from consequences societally or politically or culturally." -Pranjit Kalita, founder and CIO of Birkoa Capital Management

When you see a reporter shifting their weight back and forth, especially in a straight line, then the only winds that said reporter is battling are coming out of the reporter's butt.

Move Up or Move Over |
Please don't do that. Please slow down like any compassionate human being would. This will give you more time to properly gauge the correct speed and angle of the largest pool of water to splash them with. Bonus points if you pull up and stop to lure them into a better position, back up and splash them and then post the video on boobtube...
