In the meantime you will bounce checks all over the place and be in a financial hell for months.

I'll wait for a paper check

Or just have one specific account just for direct deposit. Not your main checking account.

I was under the impression that, even if you owed back taxes you would still receive this?

We owe, and we don't qualify.

After the wife started working full time (OR nurse), we have found ourselves owing every year. A year later, we moved into a home that was 2x the size of our old home. Then the Trump tax cuts happened, so that threw our taxes off as well. My gunsmith business helps A LOT, but we're still trying to find the equilibrium point in our contributions to the IRS. We went from getting $5,000 a year back to owing $4,000, then owing $6,000 after the tax cuts. Without the business, we would have owed $8,000 last year.

I just filed my extension today as well. I won't be done prepping my taxes until October.

The wife and I still have our jobs and the only thing we've lost so far is overtime. We both worked excessive overtime. We're both now down to 40 hours a week. We each normally work 50+ a week. While it would be nice to have a stimulus check, we don't need it.

My mother, on the other hand, is on social security and should get one. She's been checking her account daily to see if she got it. It hasn't arrived yet.

Tony.

Wife and I had to pay extra several years until we figured out our withholding threshold. Most years now we’re within about $300 +/- between state and federal.

I owe a penalty from some late filing/amending of tax returns that I squared up last year. I think the penalty was like $7xx so I figured they'd withhold the penalty and cut me a check for the difference. Either way, I'm not getting direct deposit and I'm sure as fuck not cutting a check for the $7xx penalty until I find out of they're withholding it from the Trump check.

Time will tell.

I certainly hope that some of those stimulus checks will be used for sex toys. The adult novelty businesses deserve your "love" as well.

Got mine today and gave it to the girlfriend. Her business has been closed for over a month and all that unemployment and SBA loan nonsense is nowhere to be found.

They had no problem taking the money out of my account this morning that I owed for 2019 but of course their website said they didn't have the sufficient bank info to deposit the stimulus into my account.... Not sure what's going on there

WELL HELL!

Ex-Wife made significantly more money than me and we were still married in 2018. Because of our combined salary (mostly hers)....we (I) now....get nothing.

It's a test to make sure the account is still open/active.

I don’t qualify based on income. I also lose out on money for my son. I have 2 kids and mom claims one and is head of household it he is 19 so no $500. I claim my 16 year old but as non custodial parent I can’t claim head of household. So no $500. If we had switched kids on taxes she would have at least got the $500 for him. Kind of a bummer. Kid could use the money for his car payment as he’s out of work due to the virus.

These go to eleven.
