I don’t follow Colorado politics. But this Melat Kiros win surprised a lot of folks. However, the message appears to be the same. “You solve homelessness by giving people housing, you solve hunger by giving people food, you solve healthcare by going to a single-payer system,” Kiros added. “We know these things already, and yet nothing changes, ever — and it’s because, despite the fact the vast majority of Americans agree on the solutions for all of these issues, there’s too much money in our politics.” That quote from Colorado News Online. I’ll give her this much credit, at least she acknowledges there’s a cost associated with healthcare, not housing and food. It apparently grows on trees; well I guess some food does.  Not that agriculture is free - hardly. Gents, politicians learned long ago you can buy votes with borrowed money. All I can say with any certainty is this won’t end well. It won’t really affect the freeloaders, it will the rest of us. Your vote counts. | |||

There is a reason that Canadians come to the USA for important surgery and health care... Canadian citizens may die on a waiting list! I wish I was intelligent enough to propose a universal health care system... alas, I am not! The best model I have experienced was the Palm Beach County, Florida Healthcare System! Very well, run, efficient and, most important, no fraud or graft! It was not perfect - services were 8:30 to 5:00, Monday through Friday; after hours were sent to local ER at hospitals. That said, the services they delivered to the indigent community were truly outstanding! No quarter .308/.223 | |||

Logistical impossibility for prisoners on Rikers to grow food that can be packaged and is approved for consumer sales. FDA approval for sale would also be a challenge as it would have to go through RFK's office. | |||
