We shut China down with just cutting off the oil they aren't getting from Iran, or Russia. Ukraine just stopped all exports.

There's a reason we took Venezuela and took Iran down.

We control the oil now. Even though all trade goes through GB, we control the shipments now.

China is a paper tiger.

Yeah, you neglected to mention they have 1.6 billion barrels of oil stockpiled, and can get crude directly from Russia.

They use 8m a day over what they produce or get via pipeline, and they would be able to ramp down a lot of that consumption on a war footing.

They control:

Rare earth elements and permanent magnets
Semiconductors, electronics manufacturing, and printed circuit boards
Battery materials and lithium-ion batteries
Critical mineral processing (graphite, tungsten, antimony, magnesium)
Active pharmaceutical ingredients
Industrial manufacturing and machine tools

While being the largest shipping, vehicle, drone, and weapons manufacturer on the planet. Containerized weapons delivery systems would turn a day 1 attack into a global nightmare.

Russia can't even satisfy its own needs for crude, much less spare any to China.
China's economy depends on export. China has extreme internal political problems.

As for their semiconductors and rare earth products, we have our own along with the now new discoveries in Europe ind Australia.

One spot in the US controls 100% of the semiconductor grade silicon. Without it, they got nothing. Look up the Spruce Pine Quartz Mines. Any positive news out of China is propaganda.

“As Ukrainian attacks continue to hammer away at Russia's critical infrastructure, Vladimir Putin's allies are pushing him to consider the unthinkable.

The battlefield humiliations have grown so profound that Kremlin hardliners are lobbying their leader to deploy nuclear weapons, against both Ukrainian frontline positions and European nations lending their support to Volodymyr Zelensky.

The tipping point before Putin chooses the deadly escalation would be the loss of the cherished Crimea, according to experts, where authorities recently declared a state of emergency.

Speculation is mounting that Ukraine's next target will be the 12-mile Crimean Bridge – bombed several times already but still standing.

A decisive blow to the highly symbolic feat of architecture could compound Putin's fears that Russia is facing a threat to its territorial integrity, propelling him towards escalation.

The 73-year-old dictator was forced to swallow his pride and admit for the first time last weekend that his country is suffering from gas shortages, as Kyiv relentlessly pummels logistics chains and oil facilities.

Amid a crumbling economy and surging soldier fatalities, Russians are becoming more outspoken with their criticism of the Kremlin, from distressed influencers weeping online about not being able to locate petrol, to disgruntled war veterans. …”

Some have suggested that Russia and China are "paper tigers". They are far from it. A nuclear exchange between the 3 main players in this game would be devastating for the entire planet.

Please point me to a good U.S. source for industrial grade magnets.

We have raw materials, but the processing takes place in… yep, China.

Politicians seem to have forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around.

Why did you purposely omit the fact WE control the world's supply of silicon?

We can make magnets if we remove the EPA and any environmental repercussions. Yeah, China is destroying their environment.

Keep betting against us.

Everything about China is tofu dreg. The earthquake in Argentina proved that along with Iran's super duper "air defenses".

China can't produce shit without supplies from the rest of the world.

LOL, do you not know how to use google?

MP Materials: The only scaled rare earth producer in the US, mining ore in Mountain Pass, California. They manufacture high-powered magnets at their facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

USA Rare Earth: Operating a mine-to-magnet pipeline, they produce sintered Neodymium (NdFeB) permanent magnets with prototyping and production facilities in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and are building a $1.2 billion facility in Cherokee County, South Carolina.

Keep cheering for the enemy.

^^ Well we did basically (the US.gov under Obama et al, the EU and NATO), going all the way back to 2014, when the U.S. State Department orchestrated a coup in Ukraine, and laid the foundation for EVERYTHING that's occurred since then!

I'm of Ukrainian heritage. I feel for the Ukrainian people (and only the people!) as much as anyone. This war (and all the unnecessary death(s) on both sides!) has gone on FAR too long, and cannot end soon enough!

Yes... Obama's State Department really screwed this up... and the Biden crime family cashed in and participated in all of the corruption.
Ukraine has been a hot mess for a long time, and the US (Democrats especially) is deeply involved.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
