I was reading earlier that replacing Zelensky will solve nothing because Ukrainian constitution or law mandates that whoever is in office is required to maintain or restore the countries border. So, for there to be a resolution or peace agreement the people/government are going to have to vote for a constitutional amendment. And according to polls, he is popular and the people will reelect him even if there is an election. Article 2 Ukrainian constitution. Article 2 The sovereignty of Ukraine extends throughout its entire territory. Ukraine is a unitary state. The territory of Ukraine within its present border is indivisible and inviolable.

No. Ukraine is Ukraine. USA is USA. Israel is Israel, and I don't want to send them money, either, but this thread isn't about Israel. That's one country I care about, and two that I don't. ______________________________________________ "If the truth shall kill them, let them die.” "A man who does not read has no appreciable advantage over a man who cannot read."

Let Ukraine turn Moscow into a burned out hulk. Let Ukraine burn every Russian diesel refinery. Trump and his oil buddies can suck it up. He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster.

Yep. Not our problem. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

The real grift is diesel profiteering off Russian fuel. So show me the NAZIs. That’s what Russia used as an excuse to invade. So show me. He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster.

You REALLY need to back this NAZI accusation up. WHERE is he a NAZI? Otherwise you are just another liar. https://share.google/gpFa4zztq74UZ8nLn[/QUOTE] I've tried to stay out of this. But with this I just can't resist. Are you fucking kidding me? The link you provided is from TASS, the RUSSIAN news agency. And you say that is proof the Ukranians are a bunch of Nazis. TASS??? Regardless of what you think of our involvement with the attack on Iran, I would like to remind you that Putin is actively assisting the Iranians with killing Americans. That's a fact. So fuck Putin. I hope the Ukranians keep stacking up dead Russians a mile high. I have nothing against individual Russians who are forced into the Russian army, however they do have a choice. Surrender to the Ukranians to avoid getting slaughtered.

State media is often more factually accurate than our own biased media. TASS just shapes their coverage to support the politics of the state. Our progressive media isn't above just plain lying to advance progressive causes and candidates. TASS has a bias rating of 16%, indicating a moderate conservative stance. The New York Times has a bias rating of -28%, indicating a somewhat left leaning bias. The US has the worst media in the world. We shouldn't be dismissing news from any source as our own media is tragically bad.

It is amazing that I have lived long enough to see tne Communist/Socialist elements not only entrenched in the Democratic party, but co-opting conservatives as well. The notion that Ukraine is run by Nazis is absurd over-the-top Putin propoganda, used to justify an invasion of a neighboring sovereign nation. No discerning person would give that any shrift at all. And even the Russian people have sense enough not to believe Tass. The Russians would like nothing better than to end the U.S. The Ukrainians are fighting the Russians - and doing a good job of it. More power to them. Even if the Russians weren't our sworn enemies, I would cheer for the Ukrainians, simply because they were invaded by an expansionist, evil country. I will cheer a hell of a lot harder, because Russia will not stop until somebody successfully stands up to them. But guess what? We don't have to be the ones to stop them. We have the Ukrainians to do it for us. All we have to do is not fucking destroy the Ukrainians, ourselves! Nope. Can't have that. Zelenski didn't support Trump as an aparatchik in the American Presidential election, so we can't have that. And Putin is affecting diesel prices, which is affecting the mid-terms, so we have to lash out at Ukraine in a fantastically preposterous hope that Ukraine will surrender and the Russians will drop the price of deisel that we are buying from them for God knows what reason - all in time to salvage the mid-terms. Except that none of that is going to happen. And the mid-terms were lost when the Iranian government didn't topple. And by the way, is there anybody anywhere who can seriously claim that the price of fuel in America is adversely affected more by Putin's hissy fit over Ukrainian strikes as opposed to - Oh I don't know - that little Straits of Hormuz kerfluffle? __________________________ "Sooner or later, wherever people go, there's the law. We are not enemies with Russia and the cold war ended decades ago. The midterms haven't been lost yet, and no one expects gas prices to be lowered before voting concludes. I don't know a single individual hoping for a Ukraine surrender, but the entire world would welcome some kind of deal ending that conflict. The idea that Russia is on some global mission of dominance is much more preposterous than the notion of Nazi leaders in Ukraine. It's a territorial dispute between neighbors that needs to be marketed as a battle between good and evil in order to convincingly fleece the US taxpayer.
