Sunny and 73°. Perfect.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Some of us are just entering "100F territory" like we do every year. At least it gets rid of the snow birds!

Mine in CFL says 87, rain's a coming, might be that storm cooling it a bit.

Couple of weeks ago we got hail, the roofers are going nuts in the area since it's mapped out where the hail hit hardest, looks like we might have roof damage on many homes in the area...

I am about 15 miles south west of Disney. It looks like all the rain is going north of us.

Looks like the heavy stuff is in Winter Garden/Orlando and north or way south of us in Sebring.

We need the rain but nothing like what you guys had last week with the heavy wind and hail.

As of right now per my back yard weather station.

97 degrees.
feels like temp 110 degrees.
51% humidity.
winds out of the east at 4 mph.
So far 0.00 inches of rain for the week so far.

Temperatures in Colorado this summer have reportedly been higher than normal with some records set. Where I live the highest recorded this year was 83° in mid-July, and 11° above the seasonal average. The record high for here was 85° in 2022. Today it got to 75 and is 55 at the moment.

On the other hand, having lived here for 32 years, in the sun I start sweating at 60°+.

We usually get a lot of visitors evidently fleeing the (sort-of) lowlands heat, but a month-long nearby wildfire reduced the crowds somewhat.
