It’s monsoon here. We were about 42% humidity before it started to rain.

It has been absolutely dreadful hot here lately. Heat index has been between 103-108 for way too long. Right now we are in a streak of air temperatures of around 104 with heat index around 108 and the forecast shows this trend for as far out as it goes right now. I love Texas, but I absolutely hate the Summer!

Yeah I hate this time of year. I don’t ride my motorcycle above 90 degrees as it is too hot in full gear. I also hire a lawn company to cut grass in this crazy heat. I have so many projects outside that I need to do but I am holding off until it cools down. I sweat just walking from the house to my truck.

It looks like the weather has finally broken here in NC. We have been having heat indexes between 105 and 110, but a few days ago the high temps have dropped into the high 80’s which is normal for us.

We are leaving for Europe tomorrow retracing my FIL’s WW2 campaign and have been dreading the thought of going there as they have been having a heatwave all summer and there isn’t much air con but it looks like they too have finally broken the cycle.

High 80’s in the bluegrass. It’s been up in the 90’s much of the summer. That really isn’t a big deal except for the ridiculous humidity that came along with it this year. After miserable July and August a day with 60% humidity is a relief.

Woke up early this morning, 6am, and found signs of rain from overnight, pavement had some puddles, the grass nice and wet. Still hot as heck, but we welcome any kind of rain.

In northern WV it's 63* under partly sunny sky at 9:45 this morning with 70 predicted as the high. Actually got chilly last night with the windows open so I had to add another blanket. It's supposed to hit 80 Thursday and next Sunday.
