Same thing in NY, much different fan behavior to Houston.

That's not realistic. That doesn't make it fair, but neither is stealing a World Series a few years ago. You don't go into Philly wearing an opposing jersey.

I disagree, but will leave it at that.

Rivalries are fine, and some jabs both ways sure, but being an ass to someone for supporting the other team doesn't cut it for me.
Saw the same in F1 this year, in the Netherlands, people in Mercedes gear being harassed for it, to the point of bordering sexual assault.

Harassing a fan through the game, then following them out & keeping at it, a bit much.

We agree. I've teased people in other jerseys, but never harassed them. It's not exclusive to Philly and TX isn't immune. Cowboy fans in the old stadium gave my group nothing but trouble the entire game. It happens.

Great bounce back from Game 3. At least 1 more game in Houston!

Huh ? Don Larsen’s WS perfecto was in 1956.

Combined bullpen no hitter is impressive but not nearly as much so as the starter going all 9 and dealing a no hitter.

I may have misheard, but thought they said >100 years since the last WS no hitter.
They also mentioned a couple playoff no hitters too.

^^ The announcers were all over the place. I heard them mention 100 years too.

Googling it afterward and can't figure out WTF they were talking about.

1956 WS - Don Larsen, single pitcher, perfect game

Thanks, Q.
Still a hell of a feat, for it to only be done twice.

Of course it's incredible. It's the only combined no hitter in WS history.

*fuck*

Once again, the Phillies bullpen let us down.

That is the biggest issue they have.

Congrats on the no hitter Strohs.

We watched it last night with my FIL and my kids (who got to see the first hour)

I'm no sports person but the Phillies just seemed off last night, no energy. Frown

My FIL pointed out how the announcers do not like Philly and once he did that, holy shit he was right! They seemed to just lavish praise all night on the Astros and talk up how wonderful they are but when it came time to talk about Philly, they were just "Meh...whatever". Very obvious.

It's OK, Philly is going to come back tonight big with their blue retro uniforms and win this thing.
