I was on an 80's and 90's rap rabbit hole yesterday, listening to all the songs I listened to as a little kid growing up in 80's 90's. I noticed something interesting. Almost all of the videos I watched featured both white and black people. I saw Penn and Teller in It's Tricky", I saw white dudes in break danncing dance offs, I saw white dudes on the keys or on the tables, white people in the live shots from concerts. Find any modern day rap song and count the white dudes in the videos, I gutantee you they've disappeared.

Growing up in the eighties I didn't care what color your skin, we all had that racist cousin or racist grandparent, but they've all died or smartened up. This PC shit has came full circle. The white dudes are for the vast, vast majority not the racists. It's the black folks now making up the vast majority of racists. Recently we've had black people come out for segregation; cancelled a March because it was too whute; black Israelites in the news recently not condemned; Louis Farrakhan saying God is calling for a separate Black state; the list goes on. This PC shit is out of control. I want to bring back that time when we had black, Asian, and white dudes all on the same break dance crew.

Virginia Governor Now Saying He’s NOT In The Racist Photo On His Yearbook Page

Embattled Gov. Ralph Northam (D-VA) is now calling Virginia Democrats and telling him that he is not the man in the yearbook photo either dressed in blackface or in a KKK robe.

The Associated Press reports a Virginia Democrat who spoke to Northam, but was not authorized to speak on the record, told the media outlet “the governor now does not believe he was in a racist picture in his 1984 medical yearbook and has no immediate plans to resign.”

Northam is apparently calling other lawmakers to gain support, this Democrat told the AP.

On Friday, after the photo surfaced, Northam apologized for appearing in the photo but said he would not resign.

“I am deeply sorry for the decision I made to appear as I did in this photo and for the hurt that decision caused then and now,” Northam said.

“This behavior is not in keeping with who I am today and the values I have fought for throughout my career in the military, in medicine, and in public service. But I want to be clear, I understand how this decision shakes Virginians’ faith in that commitment.”

Other reporters also have spoken to Virginia Democrats who say they spoke to Northam. Jonathan Martin of the New York Times reported that Northam was calling Dems and saying it wasn’t him in the photo.

“NEWS: Northam is calling Va Dems and telling them that’s *not* him in the yearbook photo and he will make a statement this afternoon to say the same. In other words, he is NOT quitting as of right now,” Martin tweeted.

Satire and parody are dead. Twenty years ago none of this would have been remotely believable. You would have been laughed out of the room if you proposed any of this playing out the way it has. The media has become far worse than even the most cutting edge satire of 20 years ago.

The governor has been telling senior Virginia Democrats that he believes there was a mixup when the yearbook was produced and someone else’s photographs ended up on his yearbook page.

Northam has been saying privately since Friday night that he has no memory of being in the photograph, despite his public apology, the aides said. He said he remembers selecting three other photos that appear on the page but not the offensive image.

In the phone calls, the governor distanced himself from the yearbook, saying he didn’t purchase it. He has been telling lawmakers that he is in touch with medical school classmates who confirmed that some of the photos on various pages might have gotten mixed up.

Joan Naidorf, whose husband’s yearbook page is opposite Northam’s in the yearbook, said she was surprised the photos are only now coming out, given Northam’s stature in Virginia politics.

“We’ve often wondered over the last 10 years or so why someone didn’t dig this up sooner,” said Naidorf, a nonpracticing emergency room physician who lives in Alexandria.

She said when she first saw the photo, shortly after the yearbook was published, “I thought: ‘That’s awful.’ I assumed it was something at a drunken frat party.”

She said she didn’t know when or where the photos were taken. Her husband, Tobin, wasn’t available Friday. He met Northam a few times when they worked medical rotations together but weren’t friends, Joan Naidorf said.

Eastern Virginia Medical School allowed students to pick their own photos for their yearbook page, Naidorf said. Her husband chose their engagement photo and other personal pictures. Another student chose a picture of men in blackface and dressed as women in what appears to be a variety-show routine.

God I hope it turns out it isn’t him. That would be perfect.

Now that practically every major democrat in the country has called on him to resign, it will cause a major schism in the Virginia Democratic Party.
