I am glad you are enjoying bumping your own thread. I will do it this time so you don't feel the need for a few hours, hopefully Razz

Drabfour, I posted once in my thread that is twice as long as this one. PR has already posted 11 times in his. I thought his could use a bit of diversity Smile

Kinda odd for someone who couldn’t care less about the World Cup isn’t it? Don’t you have your own thread to post in? In case you missed it here it is. Razz

I will admit I didn't watch the whole game. But I always like to see USA teams do well. I don't have the knowledge of this game to understand the nuances. Like the things that make it exciting to watch for dedicated fans. I will continue watching some to cheer on the USA team for sure. They made it look easy last night, not knowing how good Paraguay even is as competition. The talking heads at the half were kind of fun to watch as well.

Regardless, I thought it fair and reasonable that since you first created this thread at the beginning of the month, your thread should be priority. Wink

Ok, I get where you’re coming from Odd. I’ve been posting WC threads and soccer threads in the lounge for 15 years.

I think we can live with threads in different sections of the forum.

I watched the first complete soccer game of my life at 84! One of my caregivers is a Naturalized woman from Mexico City - a huge futbolista! The game: Mexico vs. South Africa…

Opinion:Americans like football (ours),Basketball and even baseball because of the scoring action possibilities!

Soccer teams might spend excessive time (my opinion), over half the game, setting up an unexpected scoring play! I compare it with high level chess at the Master level when played by elite soccer teams.

I was fortunate to have a rabid fan with me to explain some of the peculiar aspects/rules of the game.

Will I become a major fan - likely not, but at least it is no longer a bore.

Germany is looking pretty damn strong today against Curaçao.

The Netherlands vs Japan should be a good game today!

I went to the Japan vs Netherlands game at AT&T stadium today.

What a fun experience! The Dutch and Japanese fans were having the time of their lives - just an awesome environment. And the match, while ending in a 2-2 draw was very exciting. So glad that we went.
