I kept thinking Argentina stumbling around like sleepwalkers was some kind of novel strategy. 0 shots on goal, letting Spain dominate time of possession, committing 25 fouls, collecting 6 yellow cards. But all Argentina had to do was make it to the shootout, where they traditionally come out on top. Too bad Spain didn’t cooperate. _____________________________________________________________________ “One of the common failings among honorable people is a failure to appreciate how thoroughly dishonorable some other people can be, and how dangerous it is to trust them.” – Thomas Sowell

So in the most important game in the world, when Spain scores the second goal which would have locked it up, but the goal is negated by an inadvertent step on a foot while the player was running backwards. The possible victory is decided by a foot getting stepped on.

Some badminton fans might take exception to that. Serious about crackers.

I didn't watch the first half but in the second half I thought the impressive player was the Argentine goal-keeper.
