Not you Bob. I meant to post it in the Trump thread, but had a couple of threads open and selected the wrong one.

Hopefully, after tomorrow we won't have to refer to her at all...

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

A citizen's vote should be private, but a politician's should be printed for all to see. That's just how I see it.

Ex-Obama campaign manager Jim Messina admits early voting data is ‘a little scary’ for Harris

Early voting data is looking “a little scary” for Vice President Kamala Harris, former Obama campaign manager Jim Messina admitted Sunday.

Messina said the data — which shows a jump in GOP early-voter turnout — has prompted several of “my friends to call me panicking.

“The early vote numbers are a little scary,” the 2012 Obama aide conceded on MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki.” “Republicans didn’t do what they did last time.

“Last time, [Donald] Trump said, ‘Don’t early-vote,’ so they didn’t. Republicans do have an advantage in early-vote numbers [this time]. When the early votes come in, it’s going to look a little bit different than 2020, and that’s scary,” he said.

All my in-laws and parents have already done early voting and seem a bit perplexed that I still plan to go to my voting place tomorrow morning. Trump gave the OK this time and many of them have done it, it seems.

Though I'm heartened to hear the dems may be concerned over the early voting its my opinion those voting totals or trends should not be available until election day.

I agree with you. Making all those figures publicly available in advance of the election might be considered influencing the election.

I totally agree!

Just like announcing east coast results or predictions before central & west coast even voted.

Tomorrow I plan to go to my local polling place as usual and vote when they open at 7am. Lara Trump wanted to bring the idea of early voting in as a way to maximize Republican turnout. For example, in the 2020 election in Texas, approx. 7 million registered voters did not vote, most of them Republicans. Lara's strategy of pushing for a better turnout over the span of a couple of weeks likely paid off big time.

My parent are both 78 and I think they also got a little spooked with how 2020 turned out and they seem to think things might get bad with how this one turns out and wanted to make sure they had their vote counted.
