Have lived in/around Houston my entire life & have never made it to the BB creamery.

You need to rectify that. Tours Mon-Fri (Saturdays during June, July, and Aug) and they end in the ice cream parlor.

Sadly, Rite-Aid just shut its doors [according to a local radio report], and all Thrifty's [that I know of] were in the RA stores.
My wife was quite distraught at the news.
