And, for the record, I prefer the Bangles cover of Hazy Shade of Winter to the original and In Your Room still kicks. Eternal Flame never hit it with me, but it did with a girlfriend at the time. -- I always prefer reality when I can figure out what it is. [QUOTE]Originally posted by rainman64: I first saw Judas Priest in 1980. Seen them 37 times since. They never fail to entertain. Man, Priest is a great band. A GREAT, great band. "Victim of Changes" from the 1983 US Festival is LEGEND.

Pat Metheny Group The link below is a clip of the title cut to their album "Letter From Home". A short melodic song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5-pBkwyUxc The next link is to a song entitled "Third Wind" from the Still Life (Talking) album. An up tempo song featuring Pat on guitar, and the rhythm section. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpJC9fjm78Y "Lion Heart is all heart, Smarty Jones is all out!!!"

KISS! Got hooked on them in 1974……………still blasting out my eardrums! #2,3 and 4 are Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Led Zeppelin. Tie between Metallica and Darkest Hour. Metallica is so prolific and I love songs all across their discography. I can't say that about any other band. Darkest Hour is the music I would play, if I was good enough.

I've shared this a few times on sigforum, I went to high school with Pat. He was in my home room in ninth grade and I used to look over his shoulder while he arranged music, and I'd talk with him a little about it. He won or got second in our ninth grade talent show. He played his arrangement of "Malaguena" I knew right then he was something special. Mostly because his music was so different than the rock music that was prevalent. I recently saw a concert when he and Jaco were just establishing themselves with Joni Mitchell. Good stuff.

If I could list more than one… I would have listed PMG "Pacifism is a shifty doctrine under which a man accepts the benefits of the social group without being willing to pay - and claims a halo for his dishonesty." ~Robert A. Heinlein

They were cookin'. They aren't really a band as much as the two guys, but Steely Dan is a favorite of mine. It is hard to name just one. Almost impossible. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

Almost impossible to name just one. So I will not attempt to narrow it down. I have so many that I enjoy.

Metallica. Only saw them live on the black album tour's 100th show. There was no opening act, just four hours of them being amazing and only a few shows before Hetfield went up in flames. Felt extra lucky to have that kind of timing.
