I've shared this a few times on sigforum, I went to high school with Pat. He was in my home room in ninth grade and I used to look over his shoulder while he arranged music, and I'd talk with him a little about it. He won or got second in our ninth grade talent show. He played his arrangement of "Malaguena" I knew right then he was something special. Mostly because his music was so different than the rock music that was prevalent. I recently saw a concert when he and Jaco were just establishing themselves with Joni Mitchell. Good stuff.

Metallica.

Only saw them live on the black album tour's 100th show. There was no opening act, just four hours of them being amazing and only a few shows before Hetfield went up in flames. Felt extra lucky to have that kind of timing.
