This is a place that opens up like a set of encyclopedias which is more vast than can be imagined due to the character and vast experience of the members.

Has it been that long? It seems like only yesterday I was admiring the tampon angels

Yes. Stew Fields, Forever.
If I recall, he used a mirror to signal F-16 National Guards towards illegals crossing the border and they flew low enough he could see them give a thumbs up, while he walked his dogs.

I almost wish I made a copy of that.

Not too long after I joined I had a kidney stone and had some concerns and questions. I got some great advice. Some pictures of stones were posted that made me cringe. I got a private e-mail from a member who suggested a product called stone breaker. Sure enough, it worked. Passed the stone and avoided surgery, thanks to the member's suggestion. I'll always be grateful.

I have also had a chance to offer some advice and help to some members drawing on my 43 years with Social Security before my retirement. That has been very gratifying.

"you people" didn't go so well for Don Cherry but I'm hoping Para doesn't fire me.

Every single day, might have skipped a few days during honeymoon. Such a great place to hang with strangers (and the members I know in real life).

Thank you Para, and thank you to the other 80k members.

LOL! The dog and mirror pic. I remember reading that and giving up on knowing if the guy was sincere or a troll or smoking dope.

2. Milliron's cat picture rant.

3. When Bendable learned to post photos and proceeded to do it better than 95% of internet users.

I remember when a certain day member was trying to sell an engagement ring...

Agony’s joy at the birth of his daughter.

Another “member” posting a link to and then going live at a webcam in, I think, Boulder.

I especially remember the day he made para laugh and earned a CUT (which I don't think he ever actually took).

He sauntered into the forum, regaling us of him "setting someone on gunbroker straight" and the fact the he though it was a P228 with a single stack magazine listed for sale.

It was an aftermarket mag but obviously double stack mag, so everyone piled on him as he continued to defend is position that it was single stack. Lots of Memes and busting on him.

Just a prime example of his foolishness.

Oh! I missed that one! Dang! That must have been a rollicking good time!

Indy never disappointed on giving us new material. I've seldom seen someone so insistent on being wrong, and just flat-out refusing to admit it. He'd go down with a sinking ship insisting that water wasn't soaking the hems of his pants. Some of my favorites where those times that he offered, umm, "advice" on legal matters, which he was soooo qualified to do because he went to small claims court once or twice in the '80s. He'd have every lawyer on the forum telling him to shut his yap because he was completely, unavoidably dead wrong, and still he'd persist. Still makes me chuckle.

Who was the guy (and this is going back 6-8 years now) who was the resident contrarian, just to be a pain in the ass to everyone here?

You'd tell him the sky was blue and he'd respond with a 3 paragraph detailed reply as to how wrong you were and the sky was in fact green and the reason why.

There were some epic threads with him until Para tired of his shit and dropped the banhammer upon his head.
