I don't trust anyone who has an epiphany like this at her age. She should have known the Dem party were GDCs a long time ago. And she probably did and still sided with them, either because she agreed with them or because she saw it as the only way to get elected. Neither of those reasons work for me.

If someone gives you $20, do you complain it isn't $30?

Well, in 2022, it'd have to be $30 to be worth $20.

Yep. She's made herself odious to the Democrats. I know there are other Democrats like her but they're in the minority and not as high up in visibility as she is. It's good to know there are still people like her.

Show me where I bring negativity to everything?

Because I don't believe she's a good candidate for conservatives makes me negative?

Hooray! She doesn't like woke culture! There, happy?

Yep, she's got views that don't align with most REAL republicans, but she also challenges most all of the radical views the dems currently have, starting at the POTUS. I have no idea what she will align with now. Becoming a republican may be an option but I doubt it as there are core issues she doesn't fully support. Still, I'm glad she's out of the God awful group of self serving radicals. This action can only go to bolster the republican party and perhaps make some voters on the fence to take a hard look. They've got to be thinking if this respected long time demarcate can't take it any longer well?

Pretty much everything out of your mouth is negative.
You sound just like my wife, she has made it an art.

BTW, where is it said that she was running as a Republican, anyway?

The good news is she is no longer a democrat. Doesn’t matter what she calls herself now but it isn’t a D

Her stance and reading tea leaves about November may have just accelerated her position but who knows, maybe a few more will follow.

This is why we Republicans/Conservatives are often our own worst enemies and can't win shit. Roll Eyes

Here we have someone who agrees with us with 90% of what we believe in and you all are bitching and moaning about the other 10% and how she's just a "RINO" now and a "political whore"

FFS, do you think the Democrats would be doing that right now to a prominent Republican who left the GOP? NO!

After how she was treated by the DNC in the 2020 primaries, I am shocked she didn't leave before the general election that year. The DNC kept changing rules to keep he off the stage. Where everyone else was trying see who can race furthest to the left, she was the only one talking about meeting the Republicans and working together on legislation. After Bloomberg tried and crashed and burned, it should have been clear that the DNC wanted her off the stage and didn't care if the rules kept being written to make it happen. I would love to see her do a tell all book on what she saw behind the scenes that primary. We know how corrupt the DNC was when Hillary ran in 2016 and the primary was rigged to get her the nomination.

RINO/DINO, call her what you want. She would have been a far better president than the clown show we have now.

Her leaving, and going to any other party will help peel off votes from the dems.

I call that a win in the big scheme of things

From what I’ve seen over the years, converts tend to become the most zealous of believers. That would be a good thing in Tulsi’s case.

She endorsed Brandon in 2020, Bernie in 2016. She’s flirted with world economic forum crew and the Klaus schwab gang. Never mind the fact she likes playing with AR’s and such but doesn’t want me or you to have one. She’s abandoned herself, I can’t think of a seriously considered political person that is not party affiliated Interesting move for move for a Lt Col. Army officer.
So now she’s had an epiphany? I mean Jake Blues saw the light late in life and did cartwheels down the aisle of church so it could happen.

I see. So "once a GDC, always a GDC," is it?

I have news for you: Peoples' views and positions do change. I know mine have, several times throughout my life. You know what they call somebody who stops learning new things? Dead. And, as you learn new things, your views are bound to change.

I don't know as she's in-line with 90% of what "we" believe in, but her current views I expect come a damn sight closer to those of most of us than those of most Dems.

(I put "we" in quotes because "we" don't really have a consensus on many things.)

Which of her views have changed? Has she renounced her previous endorsements of Brandon and Bernie? Wasn't she all in on the Iran nuclear deal too? Has she come out and said, "I was wrong?"

Its a valid question, her views may not have changed at all, perhaps it's just that the views of the D party have shifted hard left and no longer hold her views valid, same with Bill Mahr, even Elon Musk said he hadn't changed his views, the party moved and he didn't like where it moved.

From her Twitter feed in the past 4 hours:

'I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are …hostile to people of faith & spirituality, demonize the police & protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents, and above all, dragging us ever closer to nuclear war.…I believe in a government that is of, by, and for the people. Unfortunately, today’s Democratic Party does not. Instead, it stands for a government of, by, and for the powerful elite. I’m calling on my fellow common sense independent-minded Democrats to join me…in leaving the Democratic Party. If you can no longer stomach the direction that so-called woke Democratic Party ideologues are taking our country, I invite you to join me.'

What else need she do to satisfy you doomsayers?.

One wonders if "actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms" includes gun control? That is at least one of her (past?) positions with which I took exception.

Perhaps her new-found understanding of what the left's been trying to do has awakened her to the value, nay, the necessity of the RKBA? We can only hope.

^^^^ Until she clearly states her position on the RKBA, ones goes by her past standing, as far as I'm concerned.
