I didn't notice it in real time, but in the slow motion I see she is holding the flashlight the entire time, with it pointing downward. It seems that she had very good control of her gun, with what had to be a somewhat awkward grip with her support hand.

The one that either slept through her training, was poorly trained, or not trained at all? That one?
THIS is what that video looks like with super officer safety tactics, and bravery.
I ran into her the other day. She is arrogant enough to think she did a good job. She see's nothing wrong with the way she handled that situation. She is of course backed up in her opinion by some of the goofy young coppers that are falling all over her singing her praises for whatever reason, something I can't figure out. Actually I do know why.

I am absolutely awestricken with the calmness and methodical response she exhibited in the face of a deadly threat! Wow! I can't offer enough praise and respect!

Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Hernandez Morales has been deported three times before 2011 – twice in 2007 and once again in 2010.
Since then, ICE had issued four separate detainers for him related to various arrests including suspicion of driving under the influence, battery on a peace officer and unknown probation violations.
ICE said detainers were issued to Napa County Jail in 2014, 2015 and 2016 while Sonoma County Jail received one in 2016. None of the detainers were honored by jail staff.
I was out of town when this all went down, the entire area surrounding that part is vineyards, country roads and rolling hills of vineyards. A car on the side of the road sticks out like a turd in a punch bowl.
No surprise with Napa city DA not cooperating, they're desperate to emulate the big city offices and ignore the obvious, that we're a fancy farm town...emphasis farm. Napa SO and PD are pretty dialed-in, with the amount of seasonal labor that comes through and the trucking traffic, them and CHP have their hands full with all sorts of oddities and critters.

Just shows you how quickly things can go bad and how ridiculous it is when people Monday morning QB a situation.
That officer was as cool as the other side of the pillow for what just happened. I would have been firing but not had the wherewithal to call in a "shots fired" at the same time. This message has been edited. Last edited by: 1s1k,
The fact that she was shot at and engaged the target was dam impressive to say the least, I don't know where her car was but I could imagine some taking cover. I'm assuming at that point adrenaline kicks in along with training and "hell no your not going to shoot at me and get away with it"
Getting to this late, but outstanding composure and outcome. She handled the sudden adrenaline spike when that shot was fired better than I could have, and dare say many others. Response time for her was sub-second, no “one-two-three...then go”
Hope she is recognized and awarded.

I simply don't get all the Monday morning quarterbacking.
All that matters to me is the final score with no good folks injured; and the fact that no taxpayer monies will go to supporting more oxygen theft by this POS.
