Meaning the type of person that commits these crimes often don’t think beyond the next minutes. They see the problem in front of them and react to that, not thinking that their “solution” will cause more problems down the road.

I have not taken one of his classes, but William Aprill says it all when it comes to criminals... They do not think like you do. They aren’t you – they are not like us.

Evil exists. You can not negotiate with, bribe or placate evil. You're not going to be able to have it sit down with Dr. Phil for an anger management session either.

I lived and worked in Napa County for a couple of years. Despite being a haven for overpriced wine and tourists, the area has a major drug/crime problem. The hills around Napa County are full of Meth labs and other criminal activities. I worked at the Culinary Institute of American at the old Christian Brothers Winery. Saw a lot of interesting stuff.

I am just glad the officer is okay and it turned out good.

You can see him reaching down his right leg. She saved the taxpayers lots of money, no need to pay ship him back home, only to return. Now just a one way box.

I saw the move down his leg too. That would have me at code red right then.

Same here. IANALEO, but I kept wondering when she was going to command, "HANDS!! Let me see your hands!!!"

I have friends in the Napa area. According to one source, she is a 3rd generation LEO.

The file cuts right after the 15th shot - I'm just assuming based on her recoil control, but I'm thinking she did a reload right after the video cut off. We will probably see more at a later time.

This apparently happened a little distance outside the Napa city boundary. Even so, I'm pretty sure Napa PD was the closest, and I'm sure they hauled all speed to assist.

Checking some news articles

The officer “Napa County sheriff’s Deputy Riley Jarecki“ was sworn in as a deputy 18 June 2018.

“A second firearm, a loaded .22-caliber rifle, was discovered in the car, Crawford said. The revolver had been reported stolen in Fremont.

The car was not reported stolen, but it was not registered in his name.

Hernandez Morales had at least five prior arrests for violations including possession of a concealed and loaded firearm, assault on a peace officer, and driving under the influence. It’s unclear if he was convicted on any of those charges.

He had “a few warrants” out for his arrest and went by “several aliases,” delaying the release of his identity, but officials did not provide details.”

Yes, he was an illegal.

A violent criminal illegal.

ICE says so

Or:

NAPA said stay and party

"ICE told ABC 7 that it issued detainers to Napa County jail regarding Hernandez Morales in 2014, 2015 and 2016. None of those detainers were honored, according to the report."

NAPA doesn't mind setting up it's officers to be targets.

This in spades. One of the many things I’ve learned from 12 years of working immersed in criminals is they do not think or respond like a normal person. Once you’ve spent enough time around them you develop the skill to see “the type”. Plain as day.

Her Dad is a Sgt. with Napa SO. Her grandfather retired as a Captain with Napa PD. She was an Officer at Calistoga PD prior to going to Napa SO.

Sanctuary laws suck.

This sanctuary business is really working out for us, isn’t it? 8 years until my own escape.

You remember the video of the female officer that was on here a couple of months ago? The one that had such pitiful. lazy, sloppy officer safety tactics that got her into wrestling for a gun? The one that squealed the entire time, and a few people thought she was so brave? The one that either slept through her training, was poorly trained, or not trained at all? That one?

THIS is what that video looks like with super officer safety tactics, and bravery.

We have a pretty high standard of training on the West Coast...and Napa isn't even a very large department
