Eerie for me as the officers voice is very similar to my daughter's (who is also a cop; just a long ways away from there).

Great reaction on her part. Perhaps it's just the perspective of the video, but I could not see his hands the whole time.

Great shoot. I can hear the ER staff now. Which one of these holes should we address first? Nice example on how to rotate your ammo.

Wow that happened really fast.
I wonder if she had her hand on her pistol when she approached the driver.

Good on her. She hit the radio first(not saying this is good/bad) moved and then started cranking off rounds, all the while without any hysterics, i'm impressed with her composure.

OK, I edited the subject line. All I did was copy the title of the youtube video. It's not rocket science, guys. Make your subject lines clear.

She had really good recoil control, too. Her pistol stayed right on line and she was able to keep the shots coming.

Formidable officer.

You know how pilots have the mantra during emergencies: "Aviate, Navigate, Communicate"?

There should be a similar one for law enforcement. Maybe "Ventilate, Communicate, Re-evaluate"?

Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here.

Although sometimes distracting, there is often a certain entertainment value to this easy standard.

Excellent deputy! I enjoyed hearing that mag dump, knowing this sob ain’t gonna make it.

I can’t imagine the stress level on Leo’s. That happened so fast, you have to be on full alert...always! Max stress!

God BLESS our men and women in blue!! So thankful the Deputy is OK and that justice was rightfully served upon this POS with extreme prejudice. And yes, Augen...that was my first thought as well.

Funny you say that, I was actually think about the Aviate, Navigate, Communicate when I was drafting my post. I wouldn't deduct any points for going straight to business rather than key up the radio. The composure, which I can only assume stems from her training, was exceptional.

She told him to wait "right there and don't move", then he rummaged down and grabbed the gun.

She did good. Real good. She got help coming her way with her left hand (radio) and she drew with her right hand (pistol) , all while moving and then put an excellent two hand grip on the pistol and sent the illegal back south of the border (permanently).

As she was rounding the back of the car, she probably assumed that she was shot from the initial encounter, so her goal was to get help there as soon as possible, and also return fire. She did an good job here.

Much better than the screamer from a few weeks ago that was saved by her male partner.

My only critique was that he was reaching under the seat at around the 8-10 second point of the video, and I instantly honed in and saw that. She might now have seen that, as she has to be aware of her surroundings in a 360 degree arc, she could have been looking in the back seat at the time he was reaching under the seat.

If she DID see him reaching under the seat, she should have addressed it right then and there, with a gun to his temple and and order to put his hands on the steering wheel or die.
