What's the rest of the story? Did the officer get shot? That POS fired point blank.

Found this. Bolded sections by me for emphasis.

SNIP:
The shooting occurred shortly before 5 p.m. when officers serving a warrant for drugs and firearms contacted the subject of the warrant -- a 41-year-old man whose name has not yet been released, according to police.

The man died in the hospital later Friday evening.

A witness told ABC7 News the subject officers were trying to serve a search warrant to speed away on a motorcycle, from a house located just a few yards from the shooting scene.

A handgun was found at the scene of the shooting, but it is not yet clear if the man pulled out the gun or fired a shot.

This was in Napa County, California.

The Deputy contacted the driver of a vehicle parked the wrong way on a rural road at about 2300 hrs. The shooter got off two rounds from a .22 revolver. Both rounds missed. She moved to the back of the car and then mag dumped on him through the passenger window as he tried to start the car. He was DRT and the Deputy was unharmed.

He had several warrants and was previously arrested for assault on a peace officer. The handgun was stolen from the Bay Area. There was a .22 rifle in the back of the car.

Given the situation, she did great. Literally calm under fire, and decisively eliminated the threat.

She was calm and lucky as well. Probably a little too trusting also.

Video ends after the last shot was fired... but I'm wondering how fast she did a reload.... that would be the first thing to do after emptying that mag.
Combination of a lucky cop and a really stupid piece of dirt that is now where he belongs.

Why do some say she was lucky? The way I see it, this was a cop who likely had her spidey sense all tingling and was expecting shit to go down, and acted accordingly. Wow, give this lady a YUUGE medal! Another fucking piece of trash off the street.

I’ll say it - I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s an illegal and if so this story will fade away.

What is in the little pea brains of these idiots?

"Oh, shooting this police officer is going to make my life rainbows and unicorns! Oh happy me!"

Really? Are they that delusional?

Shooting at a cop is one of the dumbest criminal acts there is. The cops hunt cop killers mercilessly, and for good reason.

I guess it's okay to just say it, but honestly, I kind of just automatically assumed he was an illegal. But look at it this way, now he's a GOOD illegal...

Me too, it wasn’t even a question to me.
