FBI Employees Terrified of Being Fired When Trump Arrives: He's 'Going to Smash the Place to Pieces'
By Rusty Weiss | 9:36 PM on November 07, 2024
The opinions expressed by contributors are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of RedState.com.

Employees of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are reportedly terrified that there will be a "bloodbath" of layoffs once President-elect Donald Trump is inaugurated.
Which is odd, since our friends in the mainstream media have previously indicated the term "bloodbath" is a secret siren call for violence.
Kerry Picket of the Washington Times spoke to several inside sources who claim top officials at the bureau are “stunned” and “shellshocked” at the overwhelming victory for Trump in Tuesday's election.
Trump didn't just win -- he received an overwhelming mandate from the American people, along with solid Republican control of the Senate and very likely retaining control of the House.
There will be very little standing in the way of Trump's policies and platforms being implemented.
Who Will be First to Go at the FBI?
With that knowledge, it seems employees at the FBI are fraught with concern for their livelihoods. That starts at the top, with Director Christopher Wray, according to the insiders.
“It’s a countdown for Wray because [people here] don’t think he will stay to get fired after what Trump did to Comey,” the first source said. “Trump will say, Yeah, 'fire his ass. Don’t let him take the plane home.'"
Wray, who has overseen the malicious prosecution of Trump supporters involved in the mostly peaceful protest known as January 6th, even as his own bureau had laced the grounds with an unknown number of informants (former Capitol police chief Steven Sund has estimated the number - combined with DHS informants - to be in the dozens), should be the first to receive a pink slip.
Trump has previously called on Wray to resign for covering up President Joe Biden's cognitive decline in Congressional testimony. He needn't be given the opportunity to resign. Fire him. Day one.
It Isn't Just Wray
Beyond Wray, however, other senior management or executive-level officials at the FBI are equally concerned that their jobs may be in peril.
"Others on the 7th floor of the FBI are so concerned about their own jobs that they are likely to flood the Washington, D.C., private security job market," the report says.
Their sources indicate nobody feels safe from being let go, fully expecting Trump to “smash the place to pieces when he gets in," ushering in a spectacular “bloodbath.”
From an HR standpoint, of course. From their lips to Trump's ears.
They're Terrified of Elon Musk Too
Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of this new report involves the FBI sources who admit that they're worried about Elon Musk coming in and cleaning house as well.
Trump made a campaign promise vowing to create a government efficiency commission to audit the entire federal government. Musk would reportedly lead the effort.
One source tells the Times that cutting waste at the FBI will naturally lead to a massive reduction in staff, because the waste is everywhere in this partisan cesspool.
“When he tries to do efficiency at headquarters, the place is going to have five people … if he’s talking about a lot of dead weight,” they said, according to Picket.
“Try to find a person that’s actually working,” they continued, suggesting the FBI is clearly "bloated."
Well, we know somebody is working there. Overtime. Because they've charged over 1,265 individuals in relation to the J6 cases.
Speaking of which, the Times notes that some employees who didn't appreciate being forced to work the J6 beat are amused “that Trump [likely] pardons everybody involved” in those cases.
Other Federal Employees Worried About Being Fired
It isn't just the folks at the FBI who are worried that President-elect Donald Trump, Vice President-elect JD Vance, and efficiency czar Elon Musk are going to clean house.
Within weeks of the election, a report surfaced covering various government agencies as they came to terms with the fact that their jobs might be on the line if Trump were to defeat Kamala Harris.
A large portion of these federal workers seeking to jump ship were with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). They wanted out of a department they felt would be target-rich for a Trump administration eager to eliminate waste and overspending.
One couple complained that they were being forced to put off buying a new car and making home renovations because they were worried about their jobs.
Oh, the humanity.
Early on in his campaign, Trump announced a plan to clean up the federal government and take on the entrenched federal bureaucracy by requiring all federal employees to pass a Civil Service test to prove their understanding of the United States Constitution.
Requiring federal employees, especially those at the FBI, to prove they understand the Constitution will eliminate a substantial percentage of the bloat in and of itself.
The Biden-Harris administration has weaponized every facet of the Justice Department to jail their political opponents. They've used every facet of other government agencies to intrude on your personal lives through regulations and economic policies that cause hardships.
Come January 20th, let the cleanup commence. Mr. Trump, go ahead and "smash the place to pieces."

Long ago, I was a Government Employee, working in a military hospital medical laboratory. I previously had been in management in the private sector.

After being in the position for a few weeks, I spoke to the manager about some glaring inefficiencies and easy cost savings. I was told not to even think about improvements; don’t rock the boat…period!

Obviously, nothing has changed.

To quote John Mclain, "welcome to the party pal". Anyone in the private sector has been there. Repeatedly.

The politization of the alphabet agencies became serious during the Clinton years. Yes, prior to that most departments would lean one way or the other depending on who was POTUS. Had a distant cousin who worked at IRS HQ during that time. Clintons sent their appointees to meet with senior IRS managers. Appointees wanted them to start targeting many on the right. At that time IRS responded "we're not political, we're just the bill collectors." After many closed door meetings the targeted audits and under the table data sharing began. She resigned from the IRS during that period but still kept in contact with many she'd worked with.

Then along came OZero and it was ramped up to 11. Many hear remember Lois Learner. But the fact she wasn't fired, let alone disciplined is just one indicator how far they'll go and think it's just fine.

IMO, the rot at the FBI is almost beyond the point of reform. It should be reduced to little more than the crime lab, a data center, and each field office reduced to a handful of agents and one admin to answer the phone. Let them serve mostly to coordinate state and local LEO to nab the bad guys who carry on crime sprees while moving around. The fact the FBI used the Steele dossier to obtain (and even renew) a FISA warrant to spy on Trump when they clearly knew the dossier was pure fiction just shows how corrupt they truly are.

The EPA, well, it's been a joke for decades now. It's just a government funded church for Gaia worshipping druids who have been given authority that they wield like a weapon.

Good.

They should be glad it's just a pink slip, and not 10 or 20 years of turning big rocks into little rocks.

Before retirement, I worked as a government contractor and dealt with many different agencies. The FBI shouldn’t be the only ones worried about losing their jobs.

So true. They can do away with most of the Dept of Energy and all of their contractors.

Is he talking about the ones showing up at homes at 0600 and kicking in doors while holding wives and children at gunpoint? Those agents? The ones "just following orders"?

Fuck 'em. Every last one of them.

many many years ago, my wife got a job with a law firm as a paralegal,

a few years later, one of the partners was talking with her about some potential hires, and a mutual friend came up in conversation that had left the private sector to go work for the State,

my wife commented that she had thought of applying for that postion, if she did not take the job offered by the firm,

the partner told her they (and most private firms) would not hire a state worker, despite how good the resume may look, because the word Work, and STate Employee, never seemed to go together,
