or in 1993 after Waco, or after the armed assault and kidnapping of the Cuban child or after any of the recent no-knocks on terrorists, oops I mean abortion opposers, or the shoot out with the Texas rancher over use of federal land or the (almost) undercover trolls that egged on Jan. 6 demonstrators. Memory erodes details over time but none of these events needed to occur in any rational world. If a grunt commits atrocity he may fry but so will his CO and his CO and if it's a decades long trend they all ought to go. I'm firmly on the side of a house cleaning including tossing the furniture and fumigating the offices. _______________________

Good, its time the govt feared some consequences of being against the people and pushing the disgusting leftist agenda. I hope Trump just cleans house the like of which have never been seen before in all govt departments. They have lost the trust of the people. When a company loses the trust of its customers it goes out of business. Many, many good employees go down with it. Should be the same for govt, your department or agency is corrupt, ineffective, or just biased beyond saving, it has to go. Don't weep for the stupid, or you will be crying all day

It does feel like the Left has successfully played a game of divide and conquer in alienating Federal law enforcement from conservative support. God Bless and Protect the Once and Future President, Donald John Trump.

The Elian Gonzalez raid wasn't the FBI. That was Border Patrol, at the behest of Immigration. (Note the ID badge on the vest in this iconic photo.)
I think you mean the Bundy ranch standoff back in 2014. But if that's the case, that rancher standoff was with Rangers from the Bureau of Land Management, not the FBI. It was in Nevada, not Texas. And there was no shooting during that incident. Two of the Bundy sons later took part in an armed takeover of a building at a wildlife refuge in Oregon a couple years after, during which a guy (not related to the Bundys) was shot by the FBI after attempting to pull a gun at a roadblock. But that shooting wasn't part of the original rancher dispute/standoff.

You kill the snake by cutting off the head. Cutting off the tail just pisses off the head and makes it angry. If you're goin' through hell, keep on going. Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it. You might get out before the devil even knows you're there. NRA ENDOWMENT LIFE MEMBER

I think Tossing the entire snake in a wood chipper would kill it as well.

Invalid analogy; large organizations function differently than a single organism. A snake dies without its head, whereas a bureaucracy can continuously supply new leadership and won’t change unless the culture changes. To change the culture of a bureaucracy (assuming you want to keep it) you have to fire many layers deep and simultaneously bring in outside leadership instilled with the new values. The lowest levels need to be impacted by your change.

Nope I'm sticking' with my story. After 8 years of Biden and two more of Kamala who can keep track? Why so picky? _______________________

The Ice Cream Man |
After my limited personal interactions with the FBI (on behalf of a client.), I’m with firing them all. For those who have met both, how do they compare to the high end PI firms? I have been vastly more impressed by the private investigators. I don’t see how any government bureaucracy can ever be changed into something other than a government bureaucracy. As such, they all default toward stasis, stagnation and failure.

To be conservative in the U.S., is to be classically liberal, and support the USCON - Federal Law Enforcement seems to no longer have any sense of duty, at all, let alone to the USCON.

safe & sound |
I encountered both involving the same situation. Both the investigators and the FBI were professional, but the investigators were already ahead of the FBI when it came to their knowledge.
