Phillies crushed the Diamondbacks on Tuesday night 10-0

Now they will do it again in AZ two more times I predict and may be a rematch of last year for the WS: Phillies vs Astros

Some nice dingers in that one…

I love that United Airlines has DirecTV on the plane as I got to watch the Astros live from 35,000 feet. The top of the 4th was awesome!

I don’t watch MLB much anymore, but I do like to track what’s happening. This afternoon I turned on the Astros/Rangers game. Dusty Baker. He’s started his career in MLB 55 years ago in 1968 with the Atlanta Braves. He played until 1986 with the Braves, Dodgers, Giants and A’s respectively. He began managing in 1993 with the Giants, then Cubs, Reds, Nationals, and now in Houston with the Astros, 30 years later.

There have been others with long playing and managing careers, Casey Stengal and Tommy Lasorda immediately come to mind, but that’s a remarkable career in baseball by any standard. He’s 74 years old.

Some fireworks there!

Texas HR to go ahead, a 97 MPH hit batter, a mini-brawl, a few ejections, then another final HR to go ahead and WIN it for the Astros. Cool

Altuve is #2 all-time for postseason homeruns.. That puts him ahead of hall of famers like Jeter, Reggie Jackson, Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, etc.

I wish I could be happy for Houston but the cheating bullshit soured me. McGwire, Sosa, Bonds, Rodriguez, Braun… Lie, cheat and claim a trophy for it. Then go crying on tv apologizing. What a disgusting display. I like Verlander but if you can’t prove to me that he didn’t know what was going on, then screw him too.

Phillies still have a chance. Texas is facing elimination so tatortodd might be one happy camper tomorrow. I don’t think anyone was expecting a short series American or National.

Regardless of the outcomes, I love watching postseason baseball. The intensity is incredible.

Unfortunately Kimbrel is currently out of gas when we need him the most. 2 games blown back to back are not his nature and it sucks to see right now. Hopefully Thompson gives him a couple of days off to get his feet back under him. The Phillies bats and the remainder of the pitching staff needs to step up and help finish this series off.

We still have some life left yet!

Now, let’s see how these Arizona guys are at our ballpark where we are as loud as shit and fired up!

The umpires were horrible tonight, almost like they were working for the Diamondbacks the entire night. It’s not enough that our team has to beat the other team it’s like we have to beat these umpires too. Mad
