Rep. Carolyn McCarthy; No I don't. I think it's a shoulder thing that goes up.

I love that her staff when defending said she meant "clips" not "magazines" and that "clips" can not be reloaded.

There is so much about guns that I learn from the Left.

Yup. That one would be it.

Sort-of applies to OP. My nephew was expelled from school for bringing a dangerous part of a gun to school. What was it he had, you ask ?
A plastic hopper that holds paintballs on top of a paintball gun. "High Capacity" as it were...

A round, bulbous, empty, plastic bowl with a tube on the bottom and a plastic cap on the top.

This was a year or two after "Zero Tolerance" became the catch phrase for school policy wonks.

The first time I lived in Houston, I built up my ammo hoard by buying 2 or 3 times more ammo than I shot. I was returning from the range one day, and swung by Walmart. As I was purchasing 500 rounds of WWB, the ghetto rat checking me out inquires, "How many people are you going to kill?" He was dead serious.

Since under "0" tolerance, a water gun is a gun, and since water guns shoot water, that means water is ammunition. Expel anyone who has or drinks water.

I have heard a lot of idiotic shit over my shooting career. Two that really stand out:

One of my coworker from Ann Arbor MI no less, "Yeah I'm for gun control. Ya can't have kids going to the store and getting machine guns and shooting everybody down." Then she pretended to hold a gun with both foreword and rear triggers no less, making a dr-r-r-r-r-r-r sound while sweeping the room.

#2. I am down at the Genesee County Sheriffs Office in Flint, MI, when the lady behind the counter looks at the Form 4 for a 20mm NFA weapon I brought for a signature from the Chief LE in the county. She laughs and turns around and says to her co-workers and any one with in earshot "whatcha gonna do, get on the Citizens Bank Tower and shoot everybody ya see, haw haw haw!" Thanks for showing what a total dumbass you are, lady.

Gregg Jarrett's idiotic explanation of a bullet button in the coverage of San Bernardino has to rank right up there, at least Honorable Mention.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Everything an anti says is idiotic.

I usually get "nobody needs a [gun]."

I had a sissy guy almost yell at me saying, "So you are okay with a bunch of yahoos having guns in their homes that can kill someone at any time?"

I once heard a woman say that she wished we could take all the guns and throw them in the ocean, and then there would be no more violence. I pointed out that the most common weapon used in murders were fists and feet, and asked if she considered being beaten to death violence. She had to think hard before answering. I don't know how she responded cause I had to leave as I was having visions of my hands around her neck.

Versions of 'I'd rather be killed / raped than have to shoot someone...' or '...violence never solved anything...'.

Also IMO- arguing statistics is pretty unfruitful because as we all know - you can almost always cherry pick data sets to get the results you are looking for.
