The wind blew the right way today... to my surprise I was able to pick one up at the local Apple Store today with no waiting (I did show up for my time slot 1.5 hours late) Traded the 16PM in at max amount

I disagree with that, unless something has changed in the last 3-4 years. My 14 had plenty of small marks in the screen from keys and what not in my pocket. I put a screen protector on my old phone when I got it, after a year or so it started to come off. Should have replaced it sooner as there were clear marks from keys and what not.

Straight out of the box I put a screen protector on my new one.
