You see, the Democrats learned long ago that the process is the punishment. If you indict a political figure who holds views you disagree with, you teach the opposition to bite their tongues, as the mere process of defending yourself at the federal level is costly and reputation destroying.

So we are teaching the Democrats a lesson to never again do to us what they did during Trump 1.0 and the reign of President Applesauce.

(The difference being, of course, that Comey ACTUALLY DID commit perjury and obstruct justice.)

How did James Comey amass a fortune in the first place from a $200k a year salary??? Same with Clintons and Obama, etc. etc.

The victims can sue him for defamation, emotional distress, and the like. Not sure how successful that would be.

His firing generated some lucrative book offers and, IIRC, even movie rights. I don't think anyone bought book or made the movie, but that never matters. The publisher's advance to him is a pass-through for whomever wanted to pay him off.

If convicted , will he serve time in a Federal Minimum Security facility ? Mopping floors and sorting library books hardly seems like justice .
