Ditto, I was already getting a $30/mo off promotion because I beat DTV like a rented mule on a regular basis. Still $240 for 2018 for making a simple phone call, a good day's work! Thanks for posting, TX Jim!

Probably on a trip
| Wow, about 5 mins on the phone and I got $60/month off for a year and the Showtime/Cinemax 4 month non-renewing promotion. Some other sports thing for 6 months as well. $720 for a quick phone call - thanks!

| $20 a month off. Thanks. Very nice lady on the phone they had to do all their sales pitches. I have had nothing but good experiences with DirecTV’s CS personnel. |

This is, surprisingly, legit! Just by asking, I earned a statement credit of $60/mo for the 12 months of 2018 (without losing the other promotions credits I'm currently getting). Feels too good to be true. Thanks for sharing and best wishes to everyone out there! Nothing like free money. |

| I just called 800-778-3397
The message was that the number is no longer in service
The message said to call 800-531-5000
that number is good and is for AT&T/Directv
I didn't stay on the line for 800-531-5000 to verify it was handling loyalty program
I wonder if they got swamped on the original number and discontinued it to stop the requests |

| Just called Direct TV at the 1-800-778-3397 number.
Indeed, there is a notification posted that the number is no longer working. Callers are directed to the 1-800-531-5000 number.
Doing so gets you a service rep who informs you that the "holiday promotion" is no longer available. As a sort of consolation prize she lowered my bill by $17 a month for six months. Better than nothing I guess. Thanks for the lead. |

| Not only are there no deals, I got a turd that acted like the idea of the promotion in the first place was a scam. |

it is listed under "Other Discounts"
and says "Save $55 for 12 months (1 of 12)"

| I went online yesterday to pay my bill and it had went back to the normal price of $134.90 instead of the $74.90 discounted price. I called them and the nice young lady apologized, fixed my bill and offered me an extra $30 a month off plus showtime free for 6 months for my trouble. My bill went from $134.90 to $44.90. It seems Directv is getting real desperate to retain customers. |

So my bill was wrong again this month. I called again and was told I was billed $134.90 last month and only paid a partial payment so the balance was added on to this months bill. So the nice young lady last month didn’t fix anything apparently. Also the 6 months of free Showtime I was offered was a lie. I was being charge half price for 12 months according to the guy I talked to today. I told him that wasn’t what was offered and I’m not ok with being lied to. I also told him if the calls were truly being recorded then listen to the call and he would see I was lied to. He basically told me to piss off in nicer words. So no more Showtime. He cut it off right then. No resolution at all. I still had to pay the higher bill and got the Showtime taken away. I’m seriously considering calling the retention department. So check your bills. It seems these deals might not be that great after all. |
