True that. Looking more like McCain took a dive against Obama in 2008. |

| I won't question his wartime service, but that doesn't excuse his actions since. |

| Trump should hold a "Make America Great Again" rally on the day of the funeral. In the heartland where there will be huge crowds. |

McCain has traded on his war record to amass personal power and he exercises it to aggrandize himself. He's no hero to me. The sooner he is gone from the Senate, the better that institution will be.

Thank you for a great summary. It's all about McCain, and McCain alone, and nothing else. Bears repeating and a reminder to those who continually bring up his wartime service as an excuse to canonize the POS.

Don't Panic
| I have to say I hope Trump takes the high ground here. If there is anything less worth watching than CNN news, it would probably be a McCain funeral with an Obama address. If Trump takes the bait, the mainstream media will hype this must-miss event into a pseudo-state funeral, televise it live and give every Trump-hating fan of Obama a bully pulpit to chat during the coverage.
Seriously, there is not much to be gained by anything said to a brain-damaged ex-war hero, essentially on his deathbed. Yeah, enduring cheap shots is not Trump's long suit but he shouldn't have to dodge many more slings and arrows from this source. Sometimes, ego gets in the way of realpolitik.
TL: DR - Yeah, McCain is being an asshole, but when he is already dying of brain cancer....seriously, what more ill could one wish he befell? |

Have you watched the MSM? That happens regardless. Trump should take the high ground, hold a rally honoring wounded vets who actually still care about this country. |

seems like McCain thinks he is all that matters, and above any such judgement

If that's the case I apologize. My apology is for providing inaccurate information and should not be construed as a change in view towards McCain

| I can’t stand him and the damage he has done to this country. When he is gone the left will hold him up in praise, the deep state establishment will say what a great man he was...I myself will take a deep breath knowing that a little more oxygen is no longer wasted.

I see McCain no differently than John Kerry, they both exploited the Honor they had for nefarious gain. |

I used to feel that way about him. No longer. I'm not even a conservative and feel he's spent all that capital a long, long, long time ago.
