If McRib is coming back, I will convert to Judeo-Islam-7thdayAdventism.

I'll be triply damned by the Gods if I eat one.

Can't take the risk.

Thank the Gods.

Well, you better start your religious conversion. This thread is now going on its fifth year.

The McRib makes an appearance every year around the holidays.

Why is that? Seems like an odd time of year for a BBQish porkish sandwich.

I read somewhere they have an excess of pork after slaughtering season and they offload it on McDonalds. Interesting side note, McRib is available year round in Germany and the last one I had was really good.

So I am a few months from being 53 and today I finally tried my first McRib.

I will say I am probably neutral on the matter. It was not bad and I ate it, but I also was not overjoyed. I don’t know that I will ever get one again. Again, it wasn’t terrible. It did actually taste like rib meat when I tried a piece of meat only. For me, I think this is just something I have checked off my list. At least I did it and I wasn’t disgusted.

Just wait til next November when you see it being offered again. You'll be drawn to it like a moth to a flame. Wink

See, this is where McDonalds is really smart with the limited time release. Next year, the hype will be back, and you will be like "huh, maybe I'll try it again." It will be similarly underwhelming, not good but honestly not bad, and you will say to yourself that it was ok, but you will be fine without another. Then the next year...

"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."

Perhaps a proposition presupposing a perennial periodic preponderance of pig parts producing a planned promulgation of a pseudo pork product is precipitously perplexing?

10ish years ago, they changed the bbq sauce. With the old version Id have 2 maybe 3 a week while they were available. Now I won't touch one.

Huh, maybe they should bring back the good bbq sauce?

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

last year ordered a McRib and with the kiosks it's now easy to ask for extra stuff so I asked for extra sauce, onions and pickles and I think the workers get pissed off at the "extra" orders so they really drowned it.

It looked like this when I was all done, but it was good: Big Grin

Finally got my chance. Was not lunch and was not dinner but was headed home from work and had about an hour and a half before anyone else would home.
Stopped by the Ol Mickey D’s and was quite worried as there was absolutely nothing indicating the McRib was back. No signs no nothing! But lucky me they had them.

Get home and I got luckier than some of you. My sandwich was the OG nice and thick with plenty of rib lines!!! I was sad to hear a bunch of y’all’s was super thin with no rib lines.

Have to order extra pickles next time, they gave me 3 dime sized pickle slices.
And have to thank Beancooker again for the hot mustard suggestion. It so adds a great flavor.

It was every bit of the seasonal glory I remember.
I’ll probably get one more this go round and anxiously await next year.

If I had the time I'd make the pork mix and sauce. Looks super tasty! I don't have a smoker nor a few extra hours on my hands though. I might have to subscribe to this guy's channel though...

#2 of the year was eaten an hour ago. Meat was thicker and sauce was good too. Better than the first one I had, might have to go again.
