Alea iacta est

| So are you going to try the McRib now, StorminNormin? It’s not the greatest sandwich ever, but it’s kind of a novelty. FWIW, it’s actually better this year than it has ever been. I honestly think they changed something. If anything it’s worth a try, just so you can check it off the list.

I will probably give it a try. I will post if I do.

This exactly! Not sure why this sandwich gets so over analyzed as it does? Just a nice seasonal treat. If it were available all year I would likely eat ZERO a year. This thread helps too, like updating it each year.

| I will be on the hunt this weekend. I do enjoy the novelty, the taste, the pickles and slivered onions. Haters gonna' hate.

Alea iacta est

| I’m glad that this thread was bumped to the top. I forgot about this gloriously beautiful sandwich. Just need a McRib and some hot mustard sauce and we are good to go!

| I had one tonight…it has been too many years since my last one. No fake rib imprints this year, and the ‘meat’ had absolutely no flavor. If it wasn’t for the sauce and onions, there would have been nothing to taste! |

Drill Here, Drill Now

| quote: Originally posted by tatortodd: I had a McRib at lunch today for the first time in at least a decade (last one was in Alaska and I moved away in 2014). The verdict: It was OK It was definitely smaller than I remember For $4 more, I could have had a pulled pork sandwich from an actual BBQ joint along with 2 sides (e.g. mac & cheese and cole slaw)
I thought about getting a McRib today, but then I remembered how mediocre the 2024 sandwich was. Instead, I got a Pulled Pork sandwich from a legit BBQ joint and had slaw and potato salad as sides. 1/3 lb of perfectly cooked pulled pork goodness
