Some days I work at home, other days I go to the hangar, about 22 minutes each way. Two traffic lights between my house and the expressway, then three more from the other end of the expressway to the airport.

Work at two hospitals, 12min to one, 20 to the other, unless its for the 8am shift. Then, I leave at 7:30, and arrive 10min early, or at 7:35 or 7:40, and arrive 5 minute late (not my style). Other than that particular shift, traffic is really not an issue here, we're 20 minutes from anywhere...

Most days it's 25 minutes. Some days ( like tomorrow) it's about 20 seconds ( working from home).

My work is dependent on where my customers live. Usually 5-30 minutes to first job, and same home, but sometimes 45 minutes. My company is very good at logistics and plans first and last jobs closest to home as possible. The typical day is like a solar flare arcing away from home then back towards home. I'd like to think it's all for yours truly, but they save on gas and are able to squeeze in one more job every day. Typical day is scheduled for 30 min travel per job, 1 hour onsite per job. So scheduled for 9 hrs each day, but often there are really short ones mixed with longer ones.

On average I drive 2-3 hrs between home to all destinations then back home.

The last 4 years that I worked prior to retiring in 2013 my commute was to walk downstairs to my basement office.

On the rare days that I had to go into the office it was 1 hour each way.

To get to work, I suffer about 20 minutes, 3 assholes, 6 idiots and 2 potholes.

Used to be 40 minutes in the morning, 50 in the evening.

Then I got moved and now it's 15 in the morning and 20 in the evening.

Not only is the distance and time less, I'm also spending less on tolls, too.

From upstairs to downstairs, about 30 seconds. If I'm using my tablet, zero.
