| Work at two hospitals, 12min to one, 20 to the other, unless its for the 8am shift. Then, I leave at 7:30, and arrive 10min early, or at 7:35 or 7:40, and arrive 5 minute late (not my style). Other than that particular shift, traffic is really not an issue here, we're 20 minutes from anywhere... |

"If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne
"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24 |

| My work is dependent on where my customers live. Usually 5-30 minutes to first job, and same home, but sometimes 45 minutes. My company is very good at logistics and plans first and last jobs closest to home as possible. The typical day is like a solar flare arcing away from home then back towards home. I'd like to think it's all for yours truly, but they save on gas and are able to squeeze in one more job every day. Typical day is scheduled for 30 min travel per job, 1 hour onsite per job. So scheduled for 9 hrs each day, but often there are really short ones mixed with longer ones. On average I drive 2-3 hrs between home to all destinations then back home.

| The last 4 years that I worked prior to retiring in 2013 my commute was to walk downstairs to my basement office. On the rare days that I had to go into the office it was 1 hour each way.

I Am The Walrus
| Used to be 40 minutes in the morning, 50 in the evening. Then I got moved and now it's 15 in the morning and 20 in the evening. Not only is the distance and time less, I'm also spending less on tolls, too.
