I have not seen any change in pump prices. Confused
When they did that here last July, the dealers didn't lower their prices until they got replenished with gas they didn't pay the tax on. It took at least several days before we saw prices dropping at the pump.
Looks like that's what just happened. 25.3¢ tax eliminated, Costco price down 26¢ in the last 24 hours.

Expect a big spike up after the election. The strategic reserve should be almost depleted about that time. Then Pedo Hitler will mumble something about it being the fault of MAGA Republicans and then shaking hands with thin air.

Filled up at my usual top tier station (quiktrip) @2.88. Not bad from what's recently been posted here, but it's up from well under under that a week ago. Sam's and a few others are still at $2.85 according to Gas Buddy.

And to think Governor Fix The Damn Roads Whitmer wanted to raise our gasoline tax forty five cents a gallon when she got into office four years ago. The state legislature slapped her down on that.

Oh yeah, our state legislature wanted to temporarily suspend the gas tax this year but she opted to wait for Sleepy Joe to do something.

BTw, a little known nuance in Michigan’s fuel tax, first the fuel is taxed and then the state sales tax is added to that sum. So we are paying tax on tax, completely fair to somebody…..

It's a feature, not a bug.
For the globalists... it's an engineered depression.

The problem is that the only ways to reduce the price of oil are to produce more of it or consume less of it. It’s hard to produce more when the President and many of his powerful oligarch buddies are aggressively intervening to ensure that it’s difficult to expand or finance production. Meanwhile, no one wants to invest when there are constant threats of excess profits taxes, carbon taxes, expropriation and price caps. Since the obvious solution has been made so impossible, the Fed has been forced to embark on a plan to reduce global energy consumption.

How do you reduce oil consumption?? Well, it seems that their plan is to create a global depression. So, after a decade of paying lip-service to “inclusive economics” and “closing the wealth gap,” the Fed has been forced to pivot and destroy the finances of the world’s poor, in the hopes that they’ll consume less oil. For the past half-year, this plan has unfolded with the usual crescendo of mini-temblors as global growth screeches to a halt and over-leveraged institutions find themselves on the wrong side of asset depreciation. The Fed is now well on its way towards creating an economic crisis that will reduce global energy consumption—consequences be damned.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
