When they did that here last July, the dealers didn't lower their prices until they got replenished with gas they didn't pay the tax on. It took at least several days before we saw prices dropping at the pump.

Looks like that's what just happened. 25.3¢ tax eliminated, Costco price down 26¢ in the last 24 hours.

Expect a big spike up after the election. The strategic reserve should be almost depleted about that time. Then Pedo Hitler will mumble something about it being the fault of MAGA Republicans and then shaking hands with thin air.

Here in W Central Ohio jumped from $3.69 to $3.99.

Up 59 cents here in northwest Ohio, it went up 40 cents over night, $3.99 now

Filled up at my usual top tier station (quiktrip) @2.88. Not bad from what's recently been posted here, but it's up from well under under that a week ago. Sam's and a few others are still at $2.85 according to Gas Buddy.

Yesterday's price was $3.95/ gal. today it is $4.39. Thanks, Joe

Went up .60/gal in 2 weeks in my area. Still climbing and come Jan 1 we will have the highest gas tax in the country when an additional .46/gal is tacked on.

BTw, a little known nuance in Michigan’s fuel tax, first the fuel is taxed and then the state sales tax is added to that sum. So we are paying tax on tax, completely fair to somebody…..
