BTW, there was a husband and wife couple sitting next to me, waiting for their case to be called, I think it was a commercial RE variance. The woman held up crossed fingers to me and mouthed the words, "We hope you get it." When I was leaving, her husband said out loud to me, "You got a raw deal. Good luck."

My amp and guitar tech want to sublease a small office space to me for $200ish/mo, commercially zoned by Deer Valley Airport. Looks like I'll have no problem getting an FFL once I do the paperwork for everything with the new address.

^^ That sounds, dare I say, ideal...And perhaps even better than you could've hoped for if you planned it that way! A simply AWESOME development! Cool

UPDATE

Got my new rental space, re-applied, my app was fast-tracked to a different investigator due to my new space being in a different zip code, interview at my office was today. There were some hiccups, but he said I should have my FFL in 3-4 weeks. Let the business planning commence!

UPDATE

Got my FFL today.

I belatedly realized it might not be delivered to the mailbox cluster at my business address because I had not put my business name - Freewill Firearms - inside the mailbox. And that's what happened. ATF called today to say the package had been returned, but no worries, they'd just scan and email me the FFL and then resend the package to my home address - exactly the opposite of what my IOI told me. But I'll take it. They emailed it to me within minutes.

If you're in N. Phoenix and need a transfer or order, hit me up.

I thought I'd put this story here. A local cop buddy sent me this. I think I will call this FFL today and strike up a friendship. He's been through the same BS I had to endure. But looking at his address, he has far fewer neighbors than I do, yet the neighborhood Karen was able to gin up 500 signatures on a petition, obviously from people who live nowhere near this guy's 150' radius for the zoning adjustment notification requirement.

Congrat’s! Always glad when someone jumps through the hoops to get an FFL. I’m an FFL, Manufacturer, SOT holder here in the DFW area..I might have mentioned that earlier, sorry if I’m repeating!

yes, we are - and its a disease that needs to be eradicated

its sort of discouraging to know these people wake up every morning and look for ways to be unhappy and then spread that unhappiness to everyone else

too bad there wasn't a better solution but these karens are just mentally unstable to begin with

The Karens definitely deserve a lot of the blame. But so does the City of Phoenix for its egregiously selective enforcement of zoning code.

Well, well, well. The neighborhood Karen just walked over while I was in the garage and wanted to tell me, that despite our differences, I've been a good neighbor and she really appreciates it. I was tempted to become a very bad neighbor right then and there, but instead told her I got my FFL and really didn't appreciate all the disinformation she and her lawyer spread to the other neighbors. Then I asked her if she ever complained about all the other neighbors running home businesses without the home occupation permit. She said she just didn't want people coming to the neighborhood to buy guns. I told her that was always perfectly legal for private party sales, I've been doing it for 15 yrs, plenty of other neighbors have too and she's surely never noticed any of it. I also told her there were even three or four home-based FFLs in the neighborhood and that, for some reason, ATF just didn't make them get the permit, but that I was sure she had never noticed any of their activity. Anyway, I need a drink cool down now. Really hate the Karen.

Neighbors can, a lot of the time, be the reason we want that cabin in the middle of the woods. I once thought 5 acres of woods would be enough.....now up to 10 acres of buffer zone.

I just re-read the thread. I HATE these holier than though liberal fucks that think they can dictate how free Americans live and provide a living for their family.

Had it been me, my response to her would have been, "Because of you, I now have to rent out a commercial space for $200 a month. That's $2400 a year. $2400 I now have to pay, per year. $2400 less I can spend on my kids. $2400 less I can use on vacations with my family. GO FUCK YOURSELF AND DONT EVER SET FOOT ON MY PROERTY AGAIN!"

If you want to DM her address and name, I can and will write her a very professionally written GO FUCK YOURSELF letter.

I have had bad neighbors. When being polite many times does not bear fruit, their are alternative measures to let them know of your displeasure.
