There's a word missing in that sentence--did you mean "don't NEED the House"?

The Florida gov race mirrored the senate race almost exactly. Bill needs to concede.

I don’t think the Dems will not be able to help themselves-they will go full retard.

The Dems still haven’t figured how or why Trump won in the first place, nor do I think they understand what going full on, no shit, big dick, toe to toe with Trump is really going to mean.

I think the Dems are going to walk right into a shitstorm that is going to end in their political bloodbath by 2020.

But the Dems do have Ocasio-Cortez-Hey Maccerana-Tequila-Mariachi-Whatever on their team, so they have that going for them.

I think the Dem control of the house will end up being Trump's Obi-Wan "if you strike me down I will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine" moment. The next two years may not be pretty, but it will likely guaranty a Trump 2020 victory and a likely flip of the House back to R.

Or Montana? I want to see that ass Tester fired!

From your lips to God's ears my friend. I hate that SOB with a passion.

Even Lindsay Graham said tonight that he hopes Tester loses. That's a pretty bold statement from a fellow Senator and speaks to his (Tester's) reputation in the Senate.

He's a turd that needs to be flushed. I'm not holding my breath, but I will pour a large beverage if it happens.

I am hoping that this story below gives Walker a decent boost. There are some big precincts in Waukesha county that havent reported yet due to machine malfunctions. Historically this area has gone heavily for Walker...

Yeah, Florida members stepped up big tonight for me. I am moving down there in the next year and have been pretty worried about the governor race. I did my part for our GA members and I am happy the FL members did thier part for me.

So damn glad Missouri hung in there for Hawley, I can't stand that bitch.

The Dems may have taken the House but they will screw everything up as they always do, and 2020 will be a bloodbath for them. Just you wait.

Why is the world treating the loss of the House as a big rebuke of Trump? This "blue wave" is hardly equal to the normal losses for the President's party during the midterm. IIRC, was't there a +50 swing back in 2010? I remember in 2010 there was no talk about how Obama needed to be moderate, but the talk then was about how the Republicans needed to behave so they could work with O.

Also, regarding the subpoena power of the House. Didn't Eric Holder demonstrate that you just lie and obfuscate, and there will be no repercussions? Congressional censure. Pffft!! So what. I don't know why the administration should be worried about anything the House does. Obama showed us the way.

I agree with what you say about the House but I don't feel it was a rebuke of Trump at all. Just a bunch more people wanting their free shit.

Thank you sir. I am looking forward to it. I love the area and the state even though it is a little more purple than I would like Wink. I have enjoyed my time in GA but I will likely die in FL.

A note about the Mississippi special election

Thad Cochran resigned in April due to health problems. Cindy Hyde-Smith was appointed to fill the vacancy.

In this special election today there were two REPs running (Hyde-Smith and Chris McDaniel)

The DEM candidate was Mike Espy.

To win outright, the winner had to get 50% of the vote. Since no one did get 50%, there will be a run off between Hyde-Smith and Espy on 27 Nov.

For today's special election:

Hyde-Smith 41.4 %
Espy 40.7 %
McDaniel 16.5%

Too bad REPs split the vote today. But hopefully REPs win on 27 Nov

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

results just starting to come in from Nevada (only 2% in)

Any word on whether McDaniel's planning on throwing his support to Hyde-Smith? Even if Espy is the only alternative, a show of unity would be helpful.
