The thread sparked the thought in my mind that likely the majority of the time the creator/designer is unknown for many memorials or "key" architectural elements. Might actually be a great "did you know" type book or series of books. There are stories and histories everywhere that are lost....

I thought her name was familiar until I looked it up and discovered it wasn't familiar after all. I'm in my 70's and had no idea she designed the memorial.

I'm 47 and I know who she is and what she did.
I am a history nerd though, and come from a military family so I better know.

I forgot she went to Yale though.
