Legalize the Constitution |
I assume many, or most, Forum members recognize the name and know what why she’s famous. If you do, please do not post the answer, yet. Maybe it’s a generational thing; let’s see. _______________________________________________________ despite them

As a generation thing I am in my early 50s and yes to both questions. The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. I'm in my 30s, I answered no to both. "The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people." "Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy." "I did," said Ford, "it is." "So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?" "It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want." "You mean they actually vote for the lizards." "Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course." "But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?" "Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."

I'm 72 and the know the answer to both. If you're goin' through hell, keep on going. Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it. You might get out before the devil even knows you're there. NRA ENDOWMENT LIFE MEMBER

She was very young. What she did has helped unite us, for more years than she had at the time. _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"

Just looked her up. Makes sense I wouldn't know her name, I was a little kid. I was aware of the "item" she is associated with, visited it in High School and was very moved by the experience. “People have to really suffer before they can risk doing what they love.” –Chuck Palahnuik Be harder to kill: https://preparefit.ck.page

I'm 81 and the name did not trigger a response. I didn't look it up, but the responses here have caused me to believe I now know who she was and what she did. And yes, it was very controversial at the time, but over the years the concept has worn very well. I've been there a couple of times and it's very moving. flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

Yes to both. Age 53. "I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation."
