I've sent money through two organizations and via a mobile app donation. One of my clients is even deployed because he is on the USAR team (an assitant fire chief). I'll make a promise to give it him upon his return if I win.

I think you'd be Hard Pressed to find anyone on this board that didn't donate contribute or pitched in to this Natural catastrophe.
I checked in in Lt H Perry 97 YO B-17 Pilot and , thankfully he and this wife are safe.
O/R your Karmas are more and more generous everytime. Thank you.

I have donated to a couple different relief charities to hopefully reach different groups. Thank you for offering this generous Karma.

I addition the Red Cross has set up an Amazon Wish List with items to provide relief. I like this idea as I am not close enough to drop off specific items. Just another option to help.

What a generous Karma. I've been backfilling a work for our guys that are deployed with USAR. I'll be on the ground in rockport next week running heavy equipment with a ministry group helping people clear debris.

The wife gave a good sized donation to Samaritans purse the other day.

Texted the number during the Ohio State Indiana game last night for a $10 addition to my Verizon Bill

Dropped $20 in the collection bottle at my local Sam Ash when looking at guitars.

I have a good friend in Houston now. He works with the water rescue team at the fire department. He took off a few days ago for Houston. His wife and kids have been at my house for dinner twice and last night I helped his wife take care of a flat tire. He should be home Sunday and they are coming over for the afternoon. BBQ and Beer are all he ever wants in return...

We are donating through our Church's Humanitarian fund. Tractor trailers of supplies were sent late last week to be in place when the storm hit.

I donated to the Red Cross when I was at Walmart. Walmart matched my contribution. Please don't enter me in the karma. I just want people to know about the matching contributions that Walmart does.

Having gone through Katrina, a local group is helping out Beaumont. I liked the personal note idea, it helps some with the emotional side of things.
There's a new kind of bucket challenge underway that doesn't require you getting doused with ice water to help others. "Buckets for Beaumont" is an opportunity for South Mississippians to donate cleaning supplies to flood victims in Beaumont, Texas.

Organizers are asking donors to assemble a "flood bucket," which is simply a 5-gallon bucket filled with specific items needed to clean up after a flood. The needed supplies include:

Liquid laundry detergent
Liquid household cleaner
Dish Soap
Clothespins
Clothesline
Sponges
Scrub Brush
Heavy-Duty trash bags
Cleaning wipes
Liquid bleach
Insect repellant
Kitchen gloves
Work gloves
Paper towels
Dust masks
Be sure to also include a personal note to the recipient. We can certainly understand what the folks in Texas are going through right now, and your words of encouragement may be exactly what someone needs to read during this tragic time. Just remember to put the note in a ZipLoc bag so doesn't get ruined during delivery.

Bring your assembled flood buckets to one of the three drop-off sites by Tuesday, September 5:

First United Methodist Church, Pascagoula (2710 Pascagoula St.)
Heritage Funeral Home, Moss Point (9721 Hwy 63)
Ocean Springs Lumber, Ocean Springs (1611 Government St.)

A pint of the my blood is hopefully routed down there (or locally) and a few items were added to the crate that's being sent via my workplace.

Please include me.

Thank you for your spirit of giving as well.

It wouldn't have even crossed my mind and we have a 3yr old. The things one takes for granted until they are gone. I guess I was just thinking food, water, money.

Donating my time, presently deployed with American Red Cross in Austin,TX doing logistics for shelters and warehouses to provide product to supply the shelters. Things are changing very fast here. We are gearing up for a mega shelter for about 10,000 to open this weekend if all goes right. At this time bottled water is a hot commodity. Oh yeah, there is little or no gasoline to be found on the routes we take to and from our present warehouse. The first group of volunteers to go into Houston a couple days ago went by military vehicles and medical folks by helicopter. I have not been in flooded areas myself but when we arrived Sunday Austin had much standing water. Don't have much time so will try to report back in the next day or so.

Our church (NE Texas) put out an email before noon today that the urgent need was for bottled water. I had $55+ balance in my Walmart savings catcher account, reloaded my card at noon and got 19 cases of bottled H2O. At drop off our church people reported they had moved out 3 pallets already, a friend was there at the same time, with an equal or better pickup load as well, so we had another pallet. Facebook report that our water is headed towards the Beaumont area.....
Thanks to everybody supporting the relief efforts.

In addition to working at the pharmacy all week, so far I'm donating some HEB gift cards, shared my generator and stored gas with the neighbors, and we are donating a bed, pillows and bedding to a member of a homeschool group we participate in that had 6 feet of water in their home.

Thanks for the karma!
